With E3 and rumors abound, I'm reminded of this fact: video game insiders > NBA/Rockets insiders Doc Rocket comes close though.
I need very good reasons to buy a Wii U. Need better games to come out sooner. I'm hearing they'll showcase a new Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. I'm also looking forward to this new 3D Pokemon game coming out in the fall. About time they get away from the current format.
Totally looking forward to Dragon Age 3 Inquisition. ****ing EA better rush them to release it this year. I hope that they will release it next year.
The game I'm most looking forward to is Watch Dogs. They showed it last year at E3, I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint. Aside from sports titles, I'm only looking to get that and GTA V.
I think there's a CoD Ghost stream in an hour or so. I don't know if anyone cares: http://new.livestream.com/callofduty/codghosts It has been pretty calm and quiet these last few days. A few game announcements and trailers, but nothing crazy. No (substantial) leaks, other than Respawn's new game (not sure that counts as a leak). Some good rumors (Fallout, Final Fantasy, Rare games, pricing, etc.), but those are nothing new. Since I'm too lazy to summarize news, here's a link to a NeoGAF thread with all the relevant bits of news (including stuff I haven't posted yet): http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=578798
Watch Dogs seems like it'll compete for GOTY whichever year it is eligible for. There was a demo / walkthrough of the first 20 minutes or so, and it looked great and innovative.
If you want a media blackout for this game, i recommend you not to watch this leaked trailer. If you don't care then watch away! <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/67988814" width="500" height="282" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe>
I've given up on Dragon Age. I might buy a new one if it had good reviews, and there was nothing else to fill the niche in the gaming world. I'm intrigued but not psyched with Watch Dog. I'll probably get GTA V out of brand loyalty, but I'm also not that excited about it. I don't know why. Up until Vice City I loved those games. The rest have been good, but just not quite having lived up to the older editions IMHO. They're all fun so I won't fill bad getting it. I'm just not waiting impatiently like with a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls game. I would really be happy with a new Red Dead Revolver series game.
Last minute(ish) rumors from NeoGAF: I left the gibberish as originally posted, but you should be able to understand it (I think). Also talk of MS requiring XBL Gold to play games (not just online play, but play games period). But could also mean XBLG subscribers get discounted games (ala PS+). Wasn't very clear. Not really sure about that one...
Gametrailers stream started. MS pre-show stuff at this point, though think they said something about making a Vita reveal (woot ). MS conference about an hour away, Sony conference later tonight. FYI, World of Tanks was announced for 360 (if you didn't believe those rumors).
Do you, by any chance, have a good stream link for the MS conference? I'd rather watch it on my computer than SpikeTV.
I'd just use Gametrailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/ http://www.gametrailers.com/netstorage/e3/live.html They're usually pretty good. I think xbox.com, and maybe Gamespot have feeds too. edit: Vita reveal was a F2P game called Destiny of Spirits. Looks like a game...yeah. *shrug*
I'm glancing at their E3 schedule, and Gametrailers/Spike will show off some good games throughout the day. Forza, Ryse, Saints Row, Killzone PS4, Knack, Thief, Evil Within, Witcher 3, and Quantum Break just to name some. Maybe more as games get announced/revealed (talking with various devs too, including BioWare). And maybe more DESTINY OF SPIRITS! edit: Killer Instinct tease?
