Until they actually have to stop him. He smoked the grizzlies, which was, I believe, the best defense in the playoffs, and one of the best since the celtics, pistons, spurs in the late 90s early 2000s. They can put Lebron on him, whatever, it ain't going to matter.

Tony Parker is about the prove the world he's on Rudy Gay's level. Grizzlies couldn't stop Gay, either.

Seriously, though. Are you just now figuring out that Tony Parker is great? Dude has a Finals MVP under his belt

Do you still download the entire clutchfans on your computer, profiles and all? Oh, I forgot, clutch caught you in the act in that one and figured out your creepy obsession with this board long time ago. I sure hope you don't got my address.

Just saying he wasn't always great
3 seasons prior to this season

    '09-'10
    16.0 pt and 5.7 ast
    '10-'11
    17.5 pt and 6.6 ast
    '11-'12
    18.3 pt and 7.7 ast

Those are all pretty decent, close to allstar numbers but not Superstar numbers IMO
While still shooting well for a PG, he had his share of injuries and slumps

That's a the thing with the Spurs team, they all sacrifice their stats for the "better" shot. A pg playing for Pops would never have crazy high assists numbers because they pass the ball around and everyone is responsible for assisting.

again I am just saying this is the best year they had since their 2007 championship, in 6 years.
The year before was pretty good too, close to this year

    'Everybody' thinks that?

I'm pretty sure it's just the ignorant fans who overrate their teams who think that.

I think one of the best ways to stop Tony is to make him play D.

The Heat need to go Wade-Allen-Miller or Battier- LeBron-Bosh.

Force Tony to chase Ray, or take Wade up. And pick & roll him with Wade & bosh or Wade & Lebron, or Ray & Lebron or Ray & Bosh day and night. Non-stop. Full court press him when Chalmers or Cole are in the game and keep him trapped.

Tony's too crafty, this his thing. He's not super strong or athletic, he just manuevers well. You can't let him think one step ahead of his defense. Plus, play physical on him on D. Not just Lebron on Parker, but hedge those screens hard, trap him randomly. Keep him on his toes.

It's amazing how he breaks down defenses and once you think you've got him cornered...boom he banks it off the glass at the buzzer.

I think if Wade and Bosh were to play like their old selves 18-22 pt a game scorers with boards and dimes and all, you do not even need to stop Parker at all.

Unfortunately Wade is hurt and Bosh is playing like crap and does not rebound

bosh never played like that for the heat...u know why? Coz he was just a stat guy on toronto. On a good team, with good teammates, he is just a good player, not a star or superstar. He cant rebound for his life, or play any defense.
