Anyone play Red Dead Redemption? I'm not one for westerns, but I saw the GOTY edition on Amazon for 20 the other day, so I bought it on a whim. GOTY and made by Rockstar? I'm in.
It was a great game. Try to power through it and finish the story. Lots of people get lost in the open-world and never finish the story, but I think it's worth finishing.
I used to buy it every year, but haven't bought this year's and probably won't. The game hasn't changed much since 09 or 10 aside from adding pulse pitching and the analog hitting (I hate them both, I use classic pitching and timing hitting). One of the biggest thing that bugs me about sports games is that you can't carry over a dynasty or franchise from the previous year's game. If they came out with that feature where I can carry my MLB 12 season over to 13 then I'd probably get it.
It would be great, but the addition of new players to the league will make that task impossible to pull off.
Going to get my copy from GameStop tonight after work. I will try to beat the game within two weeks, so I can sell it on eBay for some $$$. I'm tempted in buying the digital download from the ps store, but I will not be able to resell it after that.
Man I really don't wanna buy a ps3 for this and later buy a ps4. Damn you lack of backwards compatibility.
This is the type of game that would benefit from a reduced price point. I want to play this, but I'm not paying $60 for it. Even if i did I would just sell it to somebody else, who would in turn also probably sell it. So 3 people bought the game and only 1 actually gave them money. I've played all 6 of the Bioshock and Uncharted games, loved all of them, but didn't pay $60 for any of them. I just bought and beat Infinite for $40 and thats the most I've paid. Simply no replay value, despite being spectacular.
Sounds like there might be a nasty autosave bug: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=589746 A bit more in the thread. Developing situation and all that. (I was planning on holding off on this for a bit...guess I'm glad I did that)
For anyone who was scared off by my earlier post, it sounds like ND fixed the issue with the autosave. Apparently it was a problem with their servers (make sense given that playing offline results in no problems):
Lost about 2 hours of gameplay, wish I knew about the autosave issue earlier before I got all into the game lol. It's all good though
tempted to get this, but if it's just a button pushing through a movie game like Heavy Rain, not interested
