Wouldn't another high school kid essentially at to the core of Correa, Ruiz, and McCullers? Adding Stewart to that core sounds good to me. And then hopefully if Manaea is available at 2-1, he would fit in your 3 year time frame. Win-win!
from ABTY7: Was just toldto prepare for 'Stewart, Bryant, Appel, Gray, Moran' ... Fav source of mine just told me more than one team labeled Appel 'Luke Hochevar all over again'... I don't see that AT ALL but it's out there... http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthread.php?821810-2013-First-Year-Player-Draft-(6-6-6-8)/page14
Dumb. Singleton is a beast. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/48183/mlb-insider-keith-law Will (Georgia) How good is this Jonathan Singleton kid? Comes back from suspension and hits 3 home runs in his first 3 games. Klaw (2:43 PM) I think he could be a star.
That is pure speculation/hope on my part. I have no inside information, and many others on this board (i.e. tellitlikeitis) are much more in the know. I will say that the front office does a fantastic job of keeping things close to vest, which is great for their leverage.
Sure that's part of the core, but theres also the core thats ready to come up in Singleton, Springer, Cosart, Tropeano, etc. I hope this is a joke

If the #Astros pick Jonathan Gray, it'll be a last-minute call. Okay, final call. I think Gray has to be the pick. He throws 100, is a pitcher and not just a thrower, and he's faced college competition and put up a great season. We will see!
(@kileymcd): Just talked to source for last minute intel. Said he heard Stewart-HOU rumor last night but draft room dismissed it as leverage ploy.
My Astros following is looking at box scores from time to time and reading this forum. I have kept up on the top prospects and I say a positional guy. Probably would go for the power with Bryant.

I still think it's Gray or Appel at No. 1.
