the irony here is that if Kobe had been a good teammate originally, he would have never had to choose between the two. His antics made LA pick between him and Shaq, and his antics make Phil walk out the first time. I guess it all works out for him because he won 2 more rings after all that, but he probably cost himself a lot more aside from that.
Shaq is exempt b/c you know his priorities are Shaq first and winning second. Kobe is the same (Kobe first, winning second), but he acts like winning is his #1 priority.
Kobe's tactic. Make Dwight sign up with LA. Make Dwight's life a living hell in LA. Make Dwight demand a trade for draft picks + quality players. Kobe wins.
