I don't deny his interest in Houston is real. My fingers are crossed. My only point is that he's probably still trying to get to Brooklyn even though that dream is mostly dead. Being told maybe option 1 is still available, but if it fails option 3 is not so bad is better than a good option 2 (Houston). I hope he doesn't fall for it again as he did in ORL, but then he was still stuck in ORL. Here is would be stuck with a max contract in LA and they could rebuild in 2014 around him even if they didn't trade him. Just saying it's not a slam dunk he comes to us. Maybe 60/40 as others have said.

    Thanks J.R.

Interesting how Mitch is mentioning Dwight's name in this interview when talking about FA. I guess the Atlanta blunder gives him confidence to mention specific players names without getting fined?

Again Mitch doesn't sound to confident or not giving much away. Same old line, " I believe LA is the best city and we have the best fans." I just don't see how that wins it for them.

He's allowed to mention his name while he's still under contract.

But just the other day when Mitch was checking out the 2013 draft class he avoided it by saying "That certain marquee player we want to re-sign... "

Maybe he was just peeved at Dwight that day so he didn't want to mention his name.

Stop muddling J.R.'s great info thread with your random thoughts. We know you think Houston has the best chance. That's great that you're a fan, but you aren't contributing anything. You also have a tendency to post assumptions as though they are fact. Just cut it out, and try to only post when something is actually worthwhile to post.

J.R.... thank you and I hope you keep this up for the rest of the month!

And your above post is worthwhile? No need to respond to my post if you're worried about muddling this thread. More you respond then more I respond and it gets so called 'muddled'. Get off your high horse.

The difference is that you muddle at a rate of 17 muddles per day, and all about the same damn topic.

I've steadily muddled for five years at a rate of .03 muddles per day. I assure you my muddles have been quite diverse over that time span.

See how this gets muddled. By you attacking me. I mean, c'mon this is a discussion forum and tampering is a relevant issue. Attacking another forum member for number of posts... is something else.

What are you? Some 2 bit wannabe sports journalist that needs J.R.'s news posting to get some info. Try RESEARCH like a real journalist.

There you go again, running with your own assumptions. I work in oil and gas. I am not a journalist. Chris Paul will not "definitely want to be in Houston" if we sign Dwight.

Just thought I would interject to share the new odds at Sports Book. Looking pretty good.

So I got some news. It might get lost in this long thread, but I'm gonna put it out there anyway. You can search past threads as to the validity of inside information I've had in the past.

These things can of course change, but the consensus amongst some very in the know individuals in the organization is that Dwight will be a Rocket. He wants to play for a winner, but this is key. He doesn't want to have to play a lot of minutes through out the season and thus the reason he wants to play with another good big man (Asik). Also it's high probably that if Dwight is a Rocket that Lin's future here will be in jeopardy. One last piece. Francisco Garcia is willing to take less money in order to stay here.

I hope more experienced members will back this guy up.

If true, this is great news. I'm one of those guys who thinks keeping Asik on the team if we get Dwight would be a smart move. When Asik sat on the bench our defensive efficiency went in the sewer and we couldn't pull in a rebound.

Why is Lin's future in jeopardy though? Are we gonna roll with Beverley and Brooks? (Damn fine duo, wouldn't bother me) I'd just be disappointed in giving up on Lin so soon.
