Just a stereotype? From my experience, it's usually teenagers of all colors or parents who bring their little screaming children to rated r movies. The experience I have with black folk in theaters is usually a laugh riot, I get 2 for the price of 1, it's like extra features on dvd, lol... What are the worst theaters you've been too? Worst: AMC Katy Mills Studio 30 Cinemark/Memorial
If you want a peaceful time watching a movie, go to a matinee showing on Sunday or during the weekdays. You save money too.
Summer time is brutal. During the school year, nothing beats going to a midnight premier on Thursday night (these premiers are starting earlier and earlier now). No kids, hardly any line, cheaper price (I use my 6 year old HCC student ID for a $3 discount at AMC 24), and you get to see the movie before everyone else. During the summer, you can throw all that out the window. I tried the new Santikos Palladium theater to watch Fast and Furious 6 again, and while the theater was great, there was a diverse group of young girls that joked and laughed right behind me the entire time. If I hadn't already seen the movie, I would have been pissed. I used to love summer as a kid, but now as an adult, I see how much it sucks. Weather, no basketball, no football, roaches/mosquitoes, stupid kids everywhere /rant.
A few months ago my girlfriend and I were at the movies. We were sitting in the middle of the first row where the rail is because we like to put our feet up without bothering anyone in front of us. Midway through the movie a group of stupid 13-15 year olds come in making all type of noise running around the theatre. Some go up the stairs to sit directly behind us. One of these punks jumps the rail right in front of us and proceeds to JUMP OVER US to get to his friends nearly kicking my girlfriends and I in the head. As a second guy tried to do it my gf just went off and told him he better go around. After some bickering from the kid his friends finally convinced to just not jump and go around. Some were apologetic but damn what makes kids so damn stupid and disrespectful?! We try not to go to the movies at night anymore as a result of that and just there always being immature kids there at night on the weekends(mainly when we have time to go to the movies). This was actually at AMC 30. We have since then also made the effort to avoid that theatre altogether and go to Cinemark or Star Cinema Grill in Webster.

Yes. Not if you're going with friends or your significant other or your family, like me. You're a teenager, right? Why would you be going to a matinee by yourself? Sometimes I worry about you, SeƱor 713.
Your right! My wife and I took a weekday off together and went to the movies at noon. I was surprised at how many elderly people get their movie fix during the day. I felt out of place but the environment was ideal for viewing a movie! ....... ....... .......
watching serious dramas or any movie where you need to hear the dialogue with black folks = bad idea watching comedies with black folks = hilarious and a good time.. laughter is definitely contagious also no one flag me for racisim.. just joking <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Sgwfvu6k0xs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah, Felt like a pedo when I went to see Spring Breakers in the middle of the day. Just me and my guest... Who was 16.
Nothing personal, but if you paid to go see FF6 twice and you're not a kid... you probably had all that coming.

Ah crap i just realized school ends tomorrow and next week is Man of Steel. I hope the kids don't ruin it. And by kids i mean loud black women. MMMM HMMMM! UMMMM MMMMM!
Me and da wifey usually see our movies during matinees while the kids are at school. The only time it was crowded was during FnF6.
