I feel the Lakers gone convince Dwight to stay and stick it out for a year.
    Team history
    2014 FA's
    Money
Is all the reason's I now see Dwight staying. The Lakers have an unfair sells pitch, which is "Hey we are The LakeShow. all the greats play here and wanna play here".

I don't like the idea of Kobe having the last pitch. He'll tell him some BS to get him to stay and then go back on it later when he's already signed.

So...after a whole season when he hit D12 on the head with a 2x4, Kobe wants to bring him flowers? If was Howard, I would just say thank you, but no thanks. Adios.

Parsons could probably write a better one, with pictures and gifs.

The two quotes make it clear (1) Kobe thinks Howard is leaving LA and (2) the two guys never communicate with each other outside of practice and game time.

I don't believe for one minute Kobe thinks he can actually influence Dwight's decision after other teams have made their pitches. It will be too late then (IMO, it's already too late).

I will be shocked if Dwight stays with the Lakers. They are already in his rearview mirror.

Okay and?? I'm sure Harden and Parsons closing statements are greater than Kobe's

    This sucks.

Kobe is a competitor in everything he does. And you know he's going to give that BS talk to Dwight.

"Man, I was tough on you because I want to prepare you to lead this team in the future, this is going to be your team, I need to get you ready for LA, I'm passing the torch big guy, that's why I've been tough on you. Your the best bigman since Shaq, and you deserve to be in LA..."

This. Think about this, do you ever see Kobe hanging with other players in his tweets, or even in pictures? I got to give Kobe his dues for playing at a high level with almost 0 NBA friends, or playing partner actually it is a good thing (just like Hakeem). Dwight is an adventurous guy, who likes fishing and similar to Harden, who went on an outing P.Rico to go 4 wheeling. And #12 seems to like to play video games, sounds like a Lin partner. And the center of attention that likes attention, say hello to C.Parsons. Him and Kobe are just in a professional relationship, nothing more. Another important factor is at least 2/3 of Lakers fans despise him. Kobe can say all what he wants, but fun factor and future stability isn't in the LA cards.

As long as Morey/Harden can get in his ear once after, we should be fine.

Words are cheap. The Lakers treated D12 like chit, not understanding the limitations imposed by his surgeries (D12 has said recently he played in pain). I would hope Howard remembers how he was mistreated when Kobe lobs bull****s worth an elephant's dung.

In Houston, we will give him the time to properly get in shape to regain the title of most dominant big man with opportunities for multiple titles.

I think Kobe is underestimating his role in Howard's and the Lakers' poor season. Howard seem to have learned recently to not bad mouth anyone in public - and so he has been maybe privately annoyed but publicly very generically friendly towards Kobe and D'Antoni. You can almost sense that it's more like:

"I'm not going to say anything bad. Just going to be polite and then do what's best for me."

    rather than

"I changed my mine, I am on board with this being Kobe's team running Mike D'antoni's system."

    Maybe it's just me though.

I wonder if Dwight is mentally weak enough to buckle to Kobe given the self admitted year from hell he had.
