He was the safest pick? He was always undersized.

Agreed. Mirotic, Lorbek, Bonner could work. Spurs do need him because Duncan will retire in a few years. Same with Boozer.

IMO he will be a good NBA player if given the chance. Give him good PT and a good coach he will probably flourish.

He averages a double double per 36 both in Sacto and Houston. So there should be no doubt he will able to do that in a good situation. Along with elite defense, he has a place in the L.

He has good work ethics and determination. He carried his team to almost beating the much more talented Wildcats, getting 18/17.

In the NBA he's a tweener. Offensively he has to figure out what he can do and can't. He won't be able to out muscle and out jump most starting PFs. He won't be able to out quick and out handle any starting SFs. He has to develop SF skills when facing PF and PF skills when facing SFs and that might take a few years. But offense is just bonus, defense and rebounding is his calling card.

I could envision a good, old and soon-to-be rebuilding team would be interested in him, such as Spurs, Celtics and Knicks. Bad and young teams like Bobcats, Suns and Magic obvious could give him a try.

Lakers and Mavs make sense but it is extremely unlikely they will help.

You completely missed the point I was making. I was saying that it is ridiculous that almost 50% of Clutchfans think we are going to get a high draft pick when most teams have very little interest in TRob or in giving us a helping hand. Oh well.

I get the point, but that was back when we thought he still had a shot of getting more PT to increase his stock. Without any PFs other than jones and donny, he was the only one with rebounding, size and defense. Instead we went small for the rest of the season/playoffs.

I still think its unfair considering there are only a handful of teams that are under the cap. You miss the point that many teams would rather not take the risk on a rookie if it means forming another comtender. Then ther is the fact that it is a weak draft and many of these teams picking 13-20 would take a shot at robinson if it didnt mean d12 ends up in houston and if they were under the cap. Also, i doubt morey wants a pick in this draft considering the it will count against the cap.

Yi cant judge a 21 year old rookie in a new system playing limited minutes in 10 games.

Well, the poll is stupid in of itself because (A) this is a horrible draft so the picks are not as valuable as they are in a normal draft and (B) the Rockets require the team that get him send no money back. Hence limiting options and value of Robinson. Specifically. The Rockets actually DON'T want any 1st round picks of this season for this reason. In fact, they may not even want a 2nd pick this year.

But if Morey just put Robinson on the market for the best offer period, I can certainly see equivalent of pick 15 value in 2013 draft.

Exactly. Then there is the fact that everyone wants to hang on to their 2014 draft pick since it is a strong draft. Teams want to know what they are trading and they might end up wanting to keep a lottery protected future first that ends up being the 16th pick. A lot can change in one season.

I think if he is in the right system, he can be a very valuable piece to a team

Imagine if he was on the Spurs as Duncans near term backup and long term he can take over Duncans role

Duncan might be still better than him at age 70.

Why not just waive TROB and sign Howard out right?

Asik and Lin as least worth a first rounder...

No way Bulls want him. They are already in the luxury tax territory. They are not going to pay him $3.5M in salary plus $3.5M in luxury tax for the possibility that he turns his career around.

    No, he wouldn't.

And Adrien's PT for a coach that got along w/ no vets, had some bizarro rotations and was supposed to be showcasing Tyrus Thomas for trade reasons yet sat him for two months is zero indicator of what Steve Clifford will be doing w/ players on the floor.

RE: Bulls, dont be surprised to hear them be very active in trades on draft night. I dont think Boozer will be able to be moved due to the low interest by teams out there.

However, Taj Gibson could be a name dangled out there due to the fact that he's due 33 million over the next 4 years, and it doesn't look like he's going to improve enough to overtake Boozer in the rotation despite how much people in Chicago love Gibson. Im not sure he makes much sense to NOT look at trading this year if there is a deal out there that helps bring them a piece that can help more short term.

-Point of this post- I think ALOT of teams like the Bulls will be active in trade talks on draft night, and there will be possibilities outside of teams that "Just have cap space right now" for the Rockets to get involved in one of these deals to move Robinson.

"Yi" - not a good mention and reminder in a thread like this

(Maybe this means T-Rob might actually be 2 years older, even worse :p)

    Some rumors:
Sounds like someone does want TRob. Celtics make sense.
