    1. He bet on the spread which should factor all those things in.

    2. If it is such an easy bet, did you take it? I took the moneyline for $500 to make less than $200. While I agree, there are definitely risks involved.

I will never understand why people think because you're a millionaire you must give a whole bunch of money to charity.

there wasn't a pic of the ticket, it was supposely leaked from a source to a twitter account that track bets. and there wouldn't be a ticket with that size of a wager, since casinos would not take that large of a bet. He would have had to spread it over a lot of casinos to bet that much.

From what I know, you can make as large of a wager as possible as long as the sportsbook approves it. A guy in front of me in line once had a bag filled with cash and wanted to bet $100,000 on the Patriots to cover against the Texans on MNF last season. All the cashier did was get approval from the manager.

Not a bad payday for picking the right side and watching a basketball game for two hours:

Edit: I have no idea if that slip is legit or not so khandum may be right.

True. He most likely spread the bets out over many casinos. I dont get why people hate him for this. Sure gambling is bad, but i would rather bet on the heat -7 in game 7 against the pacers than give it all to charity.

He will most likely lose it all and more. Gambling is an addiction, and when you win that big there is an urge to do it again...maybe bigger.

Don't put it on OTHER PEOPLE's view of Mayweather's money - Whats it TO YOU? lol

(Actually you should be glad that you're remembered in any way, no one knows anything I've posted ) And you do get credit for at least putting your positions out there.

Really its NOT so much "money envy", but trying to be a "connoisseur" of the "haute" culture of sorts... (OK I looked it up..) Then an oddly contrarian view to all that about how restaurant TIPPING should be PHASED out. Admitting to MAYBE being "cheap" and holding ON to money.

(So its people should NOT be talking about what Mayweather does with HIS money - But when it comes to YOUR money out of pocket, then you talk of -PEOPLE'S WAYS OF SPENDING- and then SOCIETY needs to CHANGE around that? )

Its simply that people can have an opinion of how Mayweather spends without the "game can only recognize game" position. And like another poster said, SOME people still like a certain level of "class" in things.

(But what do people know, we're "just jelly brahs".) Not a big deal either way

I bet this is a promo for Sunset Station. Why in the world would Floyd randomly place a bet at a low end casino casino near Henderson?

You are trader and you criticize some one for making risky bets?

Where did you see he profited 4.3 mil? I've been trying to find that.

Were you going off this? http://www.buzzfeed.com/nicholasschwartz/floyd-mayweather-made-43-million-betting-on-spor

If you are basing your info on that then Mayweather is the best gambler ever! I think he was 34-6 from those bets posted.

why bet 5.9 million? Why not an even 6 million? Was that a limit set by the people taking the bet?

I don't know what the trader part has to do with anything. If anything the riskiest bet I have ever made was becoming a small business owner.

I'm not really too critical of Floyd blowing his money. I'd just like to know the reality of his profits and losses. I don't believe he wins at an 85% rate.
