The Celtics benched him, after all his hard work. Why would he go back to a team that disrespected him?
It's disappointing because they aren't controlling the things they can control. So many of these turnovers are unforced. George and West, good shooters, are 4-of-7 from the line. They're getting outrebounded by a smaller Miami team. Leaving Ray Allen and Mike Miller wide open threes. You're right, the Heat are vulnerable... this isn't so much a great performance from them as it is an inexplicably awful one from the Pacers. Choke job thus far.
This Pacer team is just painful to watch. Terrible coaching and no offensive flow. Miami will win by 20+.
That's a reflection of the modern era of NBA basketball. If Jordan played in this era he'd complain, whine, b****, and moan too. Everyone thinks that players in the 90s were these tough, thuggish "take-no-****" ball players. That's the environment doing work on them, not the other way around. You plop someone from the rough and rugged 90s in the the 2000s (let him grow up in this modern day culture too) and he'd whine as much as any other player does today. Bill Laimbeer would be no more "dirtier" than Andrew Bynum in this NBA era. You basically have a carbon copy of Jordan in Kobe who whines and complains in this era of NBA basketball. If people stopped worshipping the 90s players as some sort of basketball gods then maybe people would realize that they aren't so.
Players like stephenson are so bad that they hurt the team even when they make shots. WIth the way Indy is playing they deserve to lose. Mental midgets tbh.
The early TOs were unforced and just plain dumb. The recent ones are because of Miami's pressure, which the Pacers have no capacity to handle. They have to get another guy on their team who can create off the dribble. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami opened the door in the 2nd half. But unless Paul George screws his head back on and the Pacers play with a desperation type of intensity, it won't matter.
Really disappointed in Indy, they are playing like those tier of teams that have the talent but are weak mentally and will never win like the Knicks with Melo. Miami just has that desire tonight.
IND's ugly offense is back once MIA found a way to swarm Hibbert once he got the ball. Paul George just can't take over the game.
Me too. I hope they prove me wrong in the second half, but before tonight, the one thing that most impressed me about the Pacers was their mental toughness. They're folding.
