It's wrong that the IRS targeted any group based on political affiliation. Of course no conservative groups were denied their applications, and liberal groups were.

What is silly is trying to blame it on the white house when there's no evidence to support that claim.

Yes, we do. Are you accusing the Inspector General of lying in thieir report? The IG report states clearly that it originated from overworked lower level IRS employees that were overwhelmed with an influx of dubious claims of tax exempt status.

If that is what the evidence shows, then the inquiry should end there. There should, however, be revamped regulations on how to process the applications to ensure political neutrality. I think both parties would support that idea.

No low level employees have stated they created it and passed it to 88(?) coworkers. You have no idea where it came from. A low level employee can not give commands to 88(?) other employees.

It depends on what you mean by "low level." A supervisor at a field office is low level when looking at the IRS as an entire organization. It is entirely conceivable that a supervisor at a field office can have 88 people within their authority.

The identity of e supervisor will be easily ascertained. Oh, and they aren't a "fall guy" if they are to blame.

IRS commissioner's wife worked for OFA, her twitter timeline from 2012 is full of stuff about Romney and his donors and taxes.

Lindsey Graham: 'No Evidence' White House Directed IRS To Target Conservatives

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday became the latest Republican to reject Darrell Issa's comments that White House press secretary Jay Carney is a "paid liar" in relation to the IRS controversy. But Graham went further than his Republican colleagues, saying there's no evidence that the White House ordered the tax agency to target conservative groups.

Good job cherry picking. Here is what the rest of what Graham said for transparency.

We don't know how far this went. Let the process happen. But so far it's pretty obvious this wasn't low level employees directing this. Which makes Carney a liar not only about this but also about Benghazi talking points.

I'm shocked that someone did something shady/illegal and did their best in destroying any evidence

Who/what initiated the IRS to specifically target conservative groups?

We know according the the Inspector General report, it originated from lower level employees that were overwhelmed with hundreds of tax exempt status applications. And it wasn't just conservatives that were targeted. Liberal groups as well were scrutinized.

We also know the IG report didn't use a large enough scope or ask certain questions to answer the questions of who, what, when, where, and why.
