Best case scenario A: Royce wakes up, and works his A#$ off this Summer to become one of the most dynamic young players in the NBA overnight. He dominates so much in training camp that they are left with no other choice but to keep him, and he becomes a future superstar. (even then, I might still want him traded elsewhere, but for value in return.) Best case scenario B: The Rockets are able to move him for a potential 2nd round pick with cash going out to pay Royce's salary for the 2013/14 season. Saves the Rockets the headache of either dealing with him next season, or having to eat precious cap space to make deals with. Also, if traded on draft night, it could open up enough cap space to make signing Dwight(or someone else) to a max contract, that much easier. Worst Case scenario: Royce is not able to be moved, and the Rockets either have to eat his salary and cap space, or deal with his shenanigans for another year.

Every time we talk about him , its some off court bullsh!t like babymomma bangbus , refusing assignments or protocol .... not that he's improved his jumper or how hard he's working. His salary still counts against the cap if he's waived. If we are desperate and need an extra million in cap room to sign Dwight, we could use the stretch provision.
