Howard, especially when healthy is the best big man in the game. There is NO ONE in the NBA right now that can back ppl down in the post and slam it with authority like Howard. The last person that used to do that was SHAQ... I'm sick of these ungrateful fans who are complaining about howard and want... wait for it... JOSH SMITH!?!?!?! are you ppl serious? One of the most inefficient 4's in the league offensively. Keep in mind, Howard was supposed to come back from back surgery in JANUARY and ended up starting the season. he is 27 years old and is light years ahead of the rest of the big men. stop being ungrateful and embrace the fact that we have a friggin dynasty forming if all goes as planned. I swear some of the stuff I hear on this forum abt wanting josh smith or brandon jennings makes me wonder if most of you know anything at all. educate yourself! This officially ends my rant regarding CF idiots.

Just check out what we can look forward to next year... this is howard LAST YEAR ONLY... he have it made if he ends up here.

We all know his offensive game isn't refined, but who cares. The guy will lead the league in rebounds is the best defender in the league and will give you 20 points.

    20 pts

    15 reb

    4 blocks

If he produces that and can get his free throws back to 60% like 2011, I'll be down with that.

Howard is perfect to go alongside of Lin and Harden. Great pick and roll finisher. Not sure if Lin will become an effective enough outside shooter though.

Harden is the best thing to happen sinice then, because of him we have a chance at Dwight.

I'm fairly sure Lin will get better with his long range J. In all fairness the guy is only 24 years of age and sometimes that J doesn't start coming around till the 4th or 5th season. Many examples of this, Lowry, Billups, Kidd, etc

And if it doesn't come around we will probably dump him anyway. Lin might not be the answer to a championship caliber team starting PG.

I agree to the fullest, but adding Josh Smith with Harden and Howard don't sound bad.

Not at the expense of Asik. I rather keep Asik than have josh smith at his expense.

    I agree.

But I have a feeling the Rockats are not going to let Asik go.

It's been reported by several sources now (with strong conviction) that Howard wants Asik next to him down low to share the burden.

I think Howard is going to prove he's a better PF than Josh Smith.

I think lin will increase his 3p% by around 5% i think hes going to finish the year 38% range. Hes got a shooting coach, changed his form, time of his release. But once he has confidence in his new form, hes going to be a great shooter.

Completely agreed, sure he lack offensive moves, but the bottom line is he averages a hyper efficient 20+ points.

Its tough changing your shooting form. I think it will take a while to get comfortable with it. I hope he doesn't start off slow because of his new form.

He shot 40% in the last 41 games last season. Why change shooting forms?

Those are insane numbers, he has never averaged that many blocks or rebounds in his entire career.

20/14/3 is probably about the best we could hope for. I'd still be pleased even if he only averaged something like 18/13/2.

because from what I read/heard from his shooting coach is that hes worked/working on cardiovascular fatigue, to better simulate the game. Ya he shot 40% in the last 41 games proving that changing his form and release timing is a +. What may concern me though is that Lin has had that coach since NY, hoping for quicker results, but to honest, but im patient. This will be his year

I think he changed his form during last offseason to add more arc to it. That's why it was off and gotten better as the season went on.

He'll be fine. The coaches say he shot great in practice and it gradually translates into game form. He has tremendous work ethics, shouldn't be a problem.

Nice OP btw. Say no to JSmith and Jennings unless they take big paycuts.

Sorry, Howard is not Yao, and fair from it. Yao is a threat at the paint and at the perimeter. Howard will get lost you the game because he cannot make his free throws.
