Realistically from a cap standpoint what would it take for Chris Paul and Dwight?

It is also possible that the Lakers trade Gasol for Harden in the offseason. Just very unlikely.

Like it or not, sign and trade with the Lakers would be our only possible way to get both CP3 and Dwight. We can send Lin, Asik and filters to the Lakers for Dwight and create room for CP3.

The Lakers boards are full of people creating these same unrealistic scenarios and everyone just agrees that the Lakers are the greatest and there's no discussion. I'm on the Clippers boards because there is always a lot of turmoil with the Clippers. I don't hate the Rockets, but this whole Dwight Howard scenario brings out some interesting discussion on the Rockets board this summer. I'm not really hating on the Rockets, just getting enjoyment out of these discussions about free agency. I mean, I don't mean to disrespect the Rockets if that is what it sounds like. It's Dwight that I'm trying to disrespect.

what did dwight howard do? are you the type that yells at your wife to clean the house and do laundry when she is sick? D12 injured his back, spine, im sure you can understand how debilitating that is, right? Lets see you put on a catchers mit, pick up a ping pong ball and throw it in a basketball hoop. Can he have a year to get 100% with out your bs? How would you feel if you went to your dream job only to find out, the main employee that you will be dealing with is an ass hole. That everyone there acts holier then thou, that everyone complains and bickers all the time, points fingers. You might want to GTFO and play basketball where its fun. I personally only played High school basketball, and tons of pick up games, having synergy and fun on the court triumphs Bull #($&*.

Lin might not be exceptional, but he is around market value at $8.3M.

Parsons is one of the most valuable contracts in the league. He's got all star talent, great locker-room guy and is on the best contract possible.

Parsons alone would be a valuable trade asset and could net you a decent player in return, would just need a salary dump to make the numbers match.

Not a big market for Lin but there are still teams that would take him, he's not the best asset but he's not an albatross.

I don't really think anything I've posted anything insulting at all. I mean, if the Rockets land Dwight Howard, they will be a more popular team with more stars, but would sort of be like Clippers 2.0. Lots of dunks and young players, but not in the same league as OKC and the Spurs. I've been saying the Spurs are finished for years now and they never seem to go away. Maybe Beverly needs to take Duncan out permenantly or something. But as I see it, the Rockets with Howard would be in the crunch next season with Denver, Memphis, Clippers (assuming CP3 signs), and Golden State. As long as OKC has Westbrook and Durant, it just doesn't seem likely they will be dethroned in the west short of Westbrook getting hurt every playoffs.

If Howard wants to play on a fun team, then he should just figure a way to get on the Clippers Lob City circus show. I just get a kick out of statements that Dwight needs to join the Rockets if he wants to win titles. If he wants to win titles, he signs with the Miami Heat next year for league minimum. Or waits it out for the next wave to come in on the Lakers which will probably be shortly after 2014.
