Danny Green can't guard Lebron. Lebron is going to have him doing this again in the Finals: http://youtu.be/XXjNkFvZcaw?t=56s
LeBron has so much help this postseason that he has had to avg 25, 7, 7 on 51%, 33% and 74% shooting in Miami wins. He's had a hand in 42% of their points scored in their wins (points an assists). #superstarteammates
How do they stink? Like the poster above mentioned, they had the best defense in the league. Hibbert has had his coming out party this playoffs (more than George, IMO). George is a perennial all-star bet. David West is a baller with all-star capabilities. They have a pretty good coach that the players respond to. I'm pretty sure 80% of the league would kill to be in that position. Not bad for a team that stinks
How in the world is Hibbert not getting more shots and average only around 15-20 ppg? With no real center, he should be destroying Miami and getting 25-30 PPG easily. This shows how mediocre Hibbert is, he would be destroyed by probably every starting center in the big man era of 90-95.
Disagree, the Pacers are a pretty selfish team. In this series, the Pacers haven't had a 20+ assists game and I don't think any of their PG had a 10+ assists game. Even our Harden brand of basketball, we've had games of 20+ assists in at least 1 out of 3 games. It shows how weak the east is, I believe in a series the Rockets can win against Pacers. If Hibbert had played with a passing PG, or more well-rounded players, he'd be more dominant.
The Pacers will win every game that Lebron doesn't carry his sorry teammates Boobie Gibson-Wade and Jamario Moon-Bosh past the finish line. The Miami Cavaliers are a one man show.
Hibbert is very solid at both ends of the court, he has improved his game a lot recently. He has impressed me in this series. The skills are there. If he continues to put in the work and stays healthy, I think he could be an all-star in the future. The problem is that the other players on the team (especially the guards) are often braindead at feeding him the ball...and doing so at the right time. The Pacers could really benefit from a high IQ "floor general" type point guard with great passing skills. Somebody like Rondo.
Sorry to say but 2013 MVP LeBron James is just that good. Peace out, Indiana. Silver lining: this series showed how bright the future is in Pacerland provided their players stay healthy.
In regards to the Spurs Match up...The Spurs have enough big bodies to throw at Lebron...Diaw, Kawhi are gonna be called on a lot to guard him most of the time...(and if needed spot minutes for TMAC, if either get in foul trouble) Wade is gonna be hounded by Green, and Ginobli Now back to the Indiana series...an SI writer brought up an interesting point...The Nazr Mohammed shove after he was decked by Lebron warranted an ejection...why the heck did the Birdman still remain in the game...This NBA protection of the Heat is ridiculous...
^ The thing about the Spurs matchup is Tony Parker is going to be every bit as productive as LeBron (unless LeBron guards him).
It should be upgraded to a flagrant 2, which carries a suspension with it, and Hansbrough's technical should be rescinded. Will either happen? I'm not holding my breath. a flagrant 2 not even necessarily for the shove, but for tossing him to the floor before that, at the 27 second mark: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WzaNPLq-nvc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> - Then you get to the shove. The only 2 things making Nazr's shove different were: 1) Lebron flopped to the floor, obviously, and Tyler did not, and 2) Lebron has protected status while Tyler does not
The encouraging thing for the Heat was their 2nd half defense against the Pacers. If they play defense like that they can beat the Spurs. But if they play defense like the first 4.5 games, the Spurs are going to completely torch them.
But regardless...Hanbrough is still a dirty player...even though this play wasn't really his fault...Sometimes a bad reputation, will not go in your favor. Hanbrough likes playing dirty...He kinda deserved getting a shove...It was long due...If Anderson did these same things to anyone else...he wouldve been tossed..
