The rockets have a crappy fan base too. I have been to so many games and the bottom sidelines are deserted. Even during the playoffs people were leaving early. Other than this message board I think most Houstonians don't care about the rockets. You never hear about them on radio. You see them on the fifth page of the paper. Most of my coworkers don't care. Some of my friends don't care either.
I suppose this thread is directed towards bandwagon fans, not fans who were actually real fans their whole life before the big 3.
Why are we attacking PacerTom here, guys? He's been contributing great insight from the Pacers fan perspective on this site for years (while always being respectful). I actually prefer his posts to about 95% of the Rockets fans that post these days.
While Miami is a great place to vacation at and a great place to live if you are already rich, let's not forget that the majority of people in Miami are dirt poor, average income is among the lowest and poverty rate is among the highest for a major US city.
So you think this thread is contributing great insight? Because that is the interpretation I'm getting from your post. Purely coincidental that his team is playing the Heat right now, right?
No. This thread isn't contributing great insight. It is, however, contributing some fun and humor. Still, he's been a member of this board for over 10 years. Look at the amount of posts he's made. He obviously doesn't abuse his privileges. Cut the guy some slack. p.s. You might be a Heat fan if while taking a race and ethnicity survey you checked 'other' and specified 'orange'.
Who cares if you are rich or poor? Even poor people get to go to those beautiful beaches. What do people do in Indiana?
Oh God, I've got nothing else to say... I know! Let's compare locales even though nobody here, including myself, has lived in both places and can give a solid opinion! This is the same exact argument Laker fans are using. "lol who would want to live in houston over la! best city ever! so many lights! rocket fans are dumb!"
If given a choice would you rather live in Indiana or Miami? Surely it can't be that tough of a decision.
