    Jeff, (who wrote this article)
So was this concert sold out? was the crowd really that lame? Sharpstown Arena theater (That old ass place)?

I went to the Austin Concert at the new ACL Moody theater and it was sold out and the crowd wanted like 4 encores. Hall busted out "Wow! This place is awesome!"

Did they do 2 encores or just one? Did it disappoint you?

Say it isn't so oh oh

I've seen bands come to Houston and perform at a small venue at 50% capacity then go to Austin and do back-to-back soldout shows. I think it's because so many people in Austin have no lives.

it lets us 99ers be 99ers;)

The tickets at the arena theater were $99 and people were walking out before the encore?

I paid $60 and I was at the awesome ACL live theater. They even had an after party with some dude spinning 80s tunes.

I can't imagine if they did that for the show in sharpstown

I thought it was a great show. The old lady who rushed the stage was pretty classic. They played what people wanted to hear and no more!

I didn't notice anyone walking out at all.....I saw people rushing over to try to see Hall and Oats as they were leaving the stage.

    according to Jeff's article

The Crowd: White. Middle Aged. Early risers, judging by the stream of people headed for the exits before the first encore.

Yeah. I didn't notice it though for some reason. I was sitting with a pretty good view of the exit I thought. He is right about the white middle-aged part for sure. I thought it was a fun concert. Really short though.

Are the two guys still living and touring? I had no idea. I saw them a couple of times a long, long time ago, when they weren't headlining. They were pretty good. Better than the Strawberry Alarm Clock.

"No, I'm Holland Oates. You're like, Peter Gabriel."

"Hall & Oates is two separate people."

That dude is an Austin legend. He's played the big festivals and even the President's inaugural ball.

Voices is a seriously underrated album, with a great version of the righteous classic:
