Agree. But I can't root for the Pacers because of pacertom. Maybe I should stop reading his posts. So annoying.
Intentional tripping should be call a flagrant foul. **** like that can injure a player. To me it's a dirty play almost like elbowing.
I didn't see this, that is an obivous call then. The idiots saying that is not a travel need to go watch some basketball fundamental tapes or something.
Because LeBron is allowed to do that, duh. I can't believe they fouled out the King!!! It's unfair. Rigged. Heresy. Blasphemy.
If I remember correctly attendance was very solid during their contention years, but after the palace brawl and the subsequent trades the team was not only terrible on the court but the players was thuggish (Jamal Tinsley getting into a gun fight in a car chase Hollywood style, Stephen Jackson shooting his gun after a fight in a strip club etc),, that's when attendance plummeted.
If the NBA called travel for all the travel calls we learned when we were younger the score's would be in the 50's
I am starting to like the Spurs chances in the finals; if it is the Heat, they are going to be tired and beat up. If it is the Pacers, they are not smart enough to beat the Spurs.
anybody else think stephenson is garbage even when he is hitting big time shots? Who does this fool think he is holding on to the ball for 20 seconds trying to pull hero ball **** when he is arguably the worst out of the 5 on the court.
This is what is so great about fanaticism. It is so powerful that it can completely warp an otherwise rational mind (assuming this guy is rational). That call was anything but obvious. In fact, it was basically impossible from the replay to tell if the ball skimmed West on the way out. That's why it was ruled Heat ball, since that was the original call. You can certainly say it looked like the ball didn't hit West, but to claim it was "obvious" is being a total homer .
That's part of it. The other reason is the colts have been cosistently successful since 99 making it deep into the playoffs. They are also hq dor the indy 500. The nba is desperate to convert nascar fans to to the nba by promoting the indy 500 and having famous nascar drivers talk about the pacers during their games on national tv.
This is probably the most biased thread unrelated to the Rockets I've ever seen here. Lots of closet Heat fans and lots of Heat haters.
uhh, in a game in which dwade was in foul trouble 4 minutes into the game, chris bosh was in foul trouble the whole game (again), lebron james fouled out of his 2nd playoff game ever, roy hibbert was called for 1 foul, the pacers got more foul calls for the 3rd time in 4 games, and more free throws for the 4th time in 4 games, most of the ref comments for the first 47 minutes of the game were you and several others saying the refs were ridiculous and were willing the heat back into the game. it took 2 ridiculous calls you never see made (step backs are travels now i guess) to keep the heat from even getting off a shot in the final minute when the game was in reach to finally get some "game is rigged for pacers" comments. what exactly would these threads look like if the heat actually got more free throws than the pacers in a game? or even the same number. the heat shot 152 more free throws than their opponents in the regular season. the pacers 187. or about a .43 per game advantage in differential for the pacers. in the 3 regular season meetings, the pacer shot 4 more free throws than the heat, or 1.3 per game. fairly in line with expectations. they are currently up 35 free throws, or 8.75 per game, in this series. way above expectations. any insinuation that miami is getting the calls, in any game so far, is pretty ridiculous.
