    I don't think anyone is excited to have Harden here for his ability to flop. It's about improving the game we love, not just the team we cheer for.

    Very little proof is here to back up that statement. Let's be honest that there's a difference between selling contact and the gifs etc in the previous posts.

    Flopping is a horrible part of NBA basketball that almost singlehandedly drops it to #3 in my favorite pro sports. It's not true sportsmanship. It's underhanded bull****.

    Hockey = powerplays
    Soccer = penalty cards
    Football = penalty yards

    Basketball = free shots

    This multiplies the insidiousness of flopping by ten fold in basketball. And now players are openly endorsing it. The fact that Lebron said this has turned many people into flopping apologists and is lowering NBA fans into new levels of denial.

    Yes, we've had Harden, Martin, Scola, etc. Two (or three, or a hundred) wrongs don't make a right. Flopping is crap.

    Two are legit elbows, and him falling after hitting a three seems pretty standard. Now, let's watch LeBron get fouled by air.

    King me:

    You pretty much can't ever criticize anyone or anything ever on these forums because someone will throw something about the Rockets in your face to show that you're a complete hypocrite. Rockets has had some floppers so you can't EVER call out floppers on any team. Rockets has low attendence so you can't EVER mention how another team has crappy fans, etc. ,etc.

    I really don't see how I'm being a homer. No one that actually watches a lot of different teams play would say Harden flops more than than Chris Paul, Griffin, Fisher, Battier, Reggie Evans, Ginobili, Lebron, Barea, or Wade.

    I've mentioned plenty of times how big of an annoying flopper Harden can be in the GARM..you know where we talk about the Rockets.. Why should I have regurgitate it every time I criticize someone else for flopping in the DISH section? Can I never criticize another player without being a hypocrite or do I always have to include footnote that Harden flops too? This is r****ded.

    What does that have to do with Lebron or his comment? Why can't we just discuss what is happening in this instance without factoring in all this outside crap. Why is it relevent?

    it has everything to do with lebrons comment.

    hardens game is built on flopping > lebron endorses flopping > league doesn't clamp down on flopping > harden continues to get to the free throw line > rockets win. :p

    Harden doesn't flop. At least not in the way most people associate with it. The way he gets to the line is legit most of the time. He changes direction quickly and defenders do for whatever reason like to swipe his arm when he drives to the basket. So I don't think tougher flopping rules actually affect him as much as some other players.
