I've mentioned before in another thread that Hill would be the perfect complimentary guard to James.

It's too bad he ain't goin nowhere.

I like Lin. People dread about having Harden sharing point guard duties with Lin and we don't need Lin but that's not true. Harden is human, he gets tired. Imagine having to score, facilitate, and play (some type of defense) for 42 mins a game.

    Can you imagine it?

Now imagine doing it for 82 games a season.

Not to mention on back-to-back is going to be a guaranteed lost on point guard duties due to the fatigue of our human god, James Harden

Advanced stats say that Hill is the most underrated PG in the NBA

9.7 Win Shares, 117 ORtg, 102 DRtg...they're all amongst the best at PG

Looking forward to the James Harden or Lance Stephenson thread!

But no this is a close call. I would take George Hill, but I'm not excited about it. They are pretty close in my mind.

Interesting comparison as the two are very comparable players. Hill looks to be better across the board and slightly cheaper but is more of a finished product. Hill's better 3 point shooting and less turnovers really make his case, while Lin looks to be more ball hawkish.

Hill plays much better defense, and offensively they are almost identical (ppg, rpg, apg, per).

However, it seems like Lin has a lot of untapped potential, and is still growing, whereas you know what you have with Hill.

Seems Hill is a great off ball SG type player. Probably would be a better fit with Harden than lin currently is, but I feel like Lin can improve in that area with an offseason of focusing on his off ball skills. Hill's advanced stats are definitely surprising.

While lance is far more athletic and stronger, personally i like players who play with high IQ. Stevenson has made far to many boneheaded plays in these playoffs.

I prefer parsons only due to his savvy, but if Stevenson played with the same poise i'd take him over chandler.

Lin may grow to be a better PG, but I wish he had Hill's handles

I like Jeremy Lin, I really do. But George Hill is EXACTLY the kind of PG that you put next to your ball-dominant two guard. Handles the perimeter D, is highly comfortable guarding 2s, extremely solid shooter. He would be a magnificent fit on this team.

I feel that Paul George is the main playmaker on that team. I don't watch a lot of Pacers games, so is that impression correct?

Hill has the makeup and backbone of one of those typical mediocre championship caliber point guards, like a Ron Harper. I'd probably take Hill but Lin is just as gifted.
