Yeah I'm in complete shock. Even though when Z-Bo is balling he is usually just making tough shots but thought he would get 20-10 in this series. Didn't help that Prince and Allen were on the court with him a lot too. Speaking of Z-Bo thought it was a cool scene seeing him shake all the Grizz fans hands in the tunnel even stopped and hugged one of the fans.
Go Spurs. I'd never thought I would ever say that, being a Rockets fan for 15 years, but, hey, who can stand the Heat!
Several games came down to MEM missing FTs. If they shot their average on FTs, they would have been close.
Congratulation on the two people voting for Spurs sweeping. Come out and claim your million dollar prize.
The Rockets used to be the best of all Texas team, but San Antonio turned into a true dynasty....... Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response Of course, Duncan sets good picks, but I do agree that Parker is way better than Lin in one aspect at least: Parker's dribbling is very tight. Yes, Parker uses very well nice screens set up by his teammates, particularly by Duncan, but his dribbling is very tight and in control. Mac or Morey really have to encourage Lin to shoot more 2 pointers though. Lin is never going to reach his potential taking lots of 3s.
Yes i do agree it is premature to speculate that Miami will advance vs Indy(but I really dont think the NBA will allow for a Indy Spurs match up) Do the Spurs have the ability to beat Miami 4 times??? Many folks have easily dismissed the Spurs chances in the finals...saying that the Heat are just going to destroy the Spurs with athleticism and having the best player in the league... To them, I counter by letting people know...The Spurs were a Tony Parker away from having a chance at winning 60 plus games this season. And they were on an offensive roll before he went down...They were still counted out and managed to win 58 games...The Spurs were 2 games last year from the finals before OKC caught fire against them for 4 straight games... Looking at the head to head match ups in 2013: Spurs vs Heat: (0-2) 1. Game 1: 105-100 Heat(With TD, Manu, Parker, and Danny Green with DNPs ->Pop was fined for this...) 2. Game 2: 88-86 Heat (With LBJ, Wade, and Chalmers with DNPs->Bosh hit a game winning 3 pointer to win...) While I do agree its the Era of King James...The Spurs have beat the teams that people thought would beat them before during their championship runs...Knicks, Nets, Pistons, and Cavs...This Miami team would be the series favorites and favorites to repeat. (PS. These Spurs dispatched of the prior NBA champs in the Pistons in the finals, and they have the pedigree, toughness, coaching and grit to win again this year)
How about giving credit for the Spurs that beat a dominate tandem of Gasol and Zbo...plus they had 2 Defensive stoppers (Gasol with DPOY award, and Tony Allen with the 1st team defensive player) The Clippers won last year, the Grizz won this year...they are too evenly matched..
san antonio had the best management of any team in the league, with a drastic european scouting advantage over every one else. If they had a big market to match with it, they would have been a true dynasty alright.
Wrong...the Ownership and mgmt went all out for the TMAC Yao combo...turned out the Spurs had real Gold while the Rockets mgmt were held with fool's Gold...The Rockets mgmt tried...The Rockets players failed...under JVG and Adelman...
wrong yourself. Duncan was on the Spurs when the Rockets had Olajuwon, they didn't rebuild correctly The Rockets were the best when they had this guy name Olajuwon, NOT TMac/Yao. Then management made some bad decisions, mainly Pippen.
The Spurs advance to the final's dropping just 2 games. The Heat could advance to the finals dropping just 2 games. The Heat will decisively defeat the Spurs. All of this just tells me how unbalanced the league really is.
