This is the third time this post-season where the Griz have greatly missed Rudy Gay's abilities as a closer. Their end of game plays are just horrible without him. They also miss his perimeter scoring. When you have to rely on Pondexter and Bayless, your team is in trouble. You also can't play 3 vs 5 on offense with Tony Allen and the carcass of Tayshaun Prince out there either, because that allows teams to collapse and make life miserable for Gasol and Z-Bo. Their victories over the Clippers and Thunder were fool's gold, because both of those teams had injured all-stars. The Grizzlies still haven't beaten a fully healthy team once in these playoffs.
What, just remember, you do still have a "prayer in Memphis": <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YFEB9xLeLmY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And we'll conjure up a few of our 80s icons to pray for the Grizz: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7xNSgBkum7o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lDK9QqIzhwk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/79fzeNUqQbQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Let's get them Mama Grizzlies to take on the Spurs, What! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/69jbn9yb9nc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Or maybe this guy would do better: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cuZVMUBnufw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Perhaps a Black Bear? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ctTVcKNx8Rk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Actually, you do have one source of hope. Two Words: Dave. Roberts. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Lfqqvm8ZYOQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
What, let's hope for the best: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Kt-VlZpz-8E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yes, they do: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YLTFbtOfmxk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Not at all and I addressed it in the post you were responding to when I talked about how Memphis plays 3 vs 5 on offense with Allen and Prince. That makes life hell for Z-Bo, because teams don't have to guard those two and can just collapse on Randolph. If they had a Rudy Gay type player or even OJ Mayo, it would make things much easier for Randolph and this series would be 2-1 at the very least. But instead you have Allen and Prince who are both zeroes offensively, Pondexter who's just a spot-up shooter with below average ball-handling skills, and Jerrod Bayless who thinks he's a lot better than he actually is.
Spurs had 3 days to rest their old players and prepare for game 3 and went to OT to get the W. I believe going OT will benefit the Grizz and they should finally get a W.
