I don't think Oden's career is necessarily over. He can still put in a season of work and I bet some team would be willing to take a gamble and sign him. A big body is always useful on any NBA team

I think it should be defined as what happened to Yao and Brandon Roy.

I'm not sure why Oden is making the list. Surely, he can't be seen as one of the greatest to get injured, after only playing 2 seasons and only averaging 10 and 7.

Look at Anthony Davis numbers tho. Bigs take time to develop and Oden had the potential to be great

He didn't have his career cut short. OP mentioned Len Bias as the most obvious example. If we were talking about guys having their primes cut short, the obvious answer is someone like Walton who was the best player in the league before he started getting hurt.

Not my fault you guys are answering a different question than the one that was asked.

And Ralph Sampson, of course. If Dream hadn't survived and flourished, I would have called that team cursed.

I got to go with Ralph here.
Yao and Roy is just sad.
But find it odd that no one have mention penny.

    LOL. What?

Yeah, just like Drazen Petrovic got kicked out of the league for having a car accident. Let me guess, you weren't actually following news and/or basketball in 1991?
