You guys are ridiculous. If the difference between Harden & George is offensive efficiency then we couldn't be talking about the same Harden. Did anybody see Harden throwing the ball away, missing free throws & ball hoggin? He'll get better, but Paul George is clearly the better. Never seen George hold the ball 23 seconds of the shotclock and pass it at the very last second

At this stage, Harden maybe. But more crucial is Vogel made George shine the right way! I'd pick Vogel + either over McHale + the other of the two.

    - Grizzs, Pacers play the right way of team ball. NYK, Rockets play the wrong way of iso-ball!

It is a fact that Harden is more efficient than George, and it isn't really close. Harden is a far superior offensive player to George. Did you just miss the first half of the season? You seem to be referring to a few games in the playoffs which would be a tiny sample size.

I've also never seen George score 46 points while creating every shot for himself and his teammates. He's a fine role player on offense and a great defender. He is not even close to Harden and there is no indication he will ever be.

Paul George and its not really even close.

George doesnt flop plays great defense and doesnt ball hog like harden. He plays the game the right way. He's great at letting the game come to him. Totally unselfish, if hibbert or west is in the post he's willing to sacrifice his game and always gives them the ball. He's also clutch and stepped up to the plate when it mattered in the playoffs. Complete opposite of harden's choke job in the finals, his play in the end of the season, and his spotty play in this year's playoffs.

I cant stand players who completely abandon the man they are guarding and who flop excessively. That's james harden for you.

I would trade harden for george in a heart beat. Younger, bigger, stronger, more committed to being a team player and an absolute beast one on one defender.

Only a shameless homer would pick harden.

    George at the moment.

locked in at 2 million next year and 3 million the year after...

An all round player that can lead his team to the Eastern Conference Finals and threaten Lebron James and the Miami Heat... hell yeah, he's proven more than Harden to date.

Harden has potential to become great but has proven anything yet. George is ahead as of right now. His contract puts him over the top.

    LOL at you knee jerkers.

Put Harden in place of George and the pacers would be just as good if not better. why? Pacers have a very good team defense which would only help harden's weakness and their current team lacks an explosive scorer/closer, enter harden.

George on the rockets would be a terrible fit imo without a number one option he has potential offensively but is still limited as for harden he would fit right in with the Pacer's offence and improve the team imo

    Let's see:

A guy who can guard LeBron James for 40 minutes as well as carry his team offensively

    OR

A guy who doesn't know what D is and iso's every offensive possession often leading to a bad shot or turnover

I'll take the first guy! (Paul George)

Paul George will have a bad game, people will start lovin Harden again...

And then George will have a great game and people will want him over Harden. And then Steph Curry will go off and people will want him over Harden too. But then Harden will explode for 35+ and everybody will love him again.

Then Jeremy Lin will have a terrible game and everybody will want him traded, but then a day later he'll bounce back and people will think he can work as our PG of the future.

But oh wait! Wade has an off game! Harden >>>> Wade all day!

Oh shoot...next day Harden's off, Wade balls...and everybody says that Harden isn't there yet. He's not as good as Wade.

    Knee jerk thread-making ensues...

I don't know who I would pick, but either way there is absolutely no way someone can believe either choice is "not even close". Really makes it hard to take the rest of what you say seriously. And regarding the second part I bolded, I think that may have to do with the fact that George is still very raw on the offensive end. He is nowhere near Harden in that regard, which is why it's pretty wise of him to go to the more efficient option, much like Harden is usually are most efficient option.

Also not a tad bit surprising that most of the people saying George have join dates that are pretty similar. Coincidence?

Harden everyday of the week. Harden better scorer, playmaker and gets to the line regulary. Gorge is a matchup nightmare though. He is a very poor mmans version of prime tmac.,

George - better all around, one year younger, in the conference finals as a leader, plays a team game, has more size
Harden - better offensively, been to the finals as a third leader, quicker, euro-step, draws foul, better handle

It's a tough choice but I guess George now. I think Harden has bigger upside if he is more under control and plays better D. George is a winner now and Harden not yet. I'd cut Harden some slack because he is new to the team without training camp. If he's the same next year then definitely George. If Harden improves in passing, defense and winning, then Harden.
