Pacer played better and was ahead of Heat most of the game, but Miami played dirty, Lebron James flopped at least twice and got away with it. Pacer should have won.
Shane Battier has become one of the dirtiest cheap shot artists in the league. He used to play clean hard straight-up defense, but now vs. West and Hansbrough, and in the last series vs. Noah, he's all about getting in extra shots after the whistle or when the ref isn't looking, delivering blows while flopping to strangely draw a foul of the guy he just cheap-shotted, and in general being a huge prick.
he was always a bit of a prick like that (the knee up thing he used to do a fair bit here too, the refs never really called it though)
Yep, he's really annoying me at this point. I don't mind physical and rough players but I'm not a big fan of cheap and dirty. I guess especially considering that the Pacers went from a top 3 contender to 8 years of mediocrity because of one fight, it's really annoying to see someone essentially kick people in the balls, throw cheap elbows and in general instigate fights, and not even get a flagrant.
That's the only edge he's got left in his game. Someone has to give him a flying knee real good when he set up to draw a charge next time. Guarantee he won't pull that crab on people again.
LOL at people complaining about Battier. When he was doing it for the Rockets, we loved his hustle and grit. He does it on the Heat, he's a cheap dirty player. Both teams were playing physical the other night. Tonight won't be any different. It'll be another close one, but I see the Heat edging it out.
I never liked Battier's charges, his big point of recognition is a flop half the time. I never had a problem with Hayes though, he did take charges but he took a big beating for them in the paint too.
Indiana coming out well. Indiana gives the Heat a lot of trouble. I feel Miami is going to have their hands full and this is going at least 6, probably 7.
I officially hate the Heat now. They play dirty and think they should be treated differently. Go Pacers go!!
