Are you serious? What kind of question is that? Dallas has nobody on their roster to compete that Dwight Howard can win a championship with, same thing with Atlanta, and the Warriors don't have the cap room for him. Rockets have the roster to compete and cap room to sign him. That's why he is deciding between Lakers and Rockets.
Everyone I know who has lived in LA has hated the city. It's pretty f***ing terrible. Yeah, there are nice cities to live in California, but LA isn't one of them.
wait I minute: Smith has hosted (or guest hosted) 6 ESPN TV Shows First Take Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith Dream Job Pardon the Interruption Jim Rome is Burning 1st and 10 he says there is a 50/50 chance we get Howard 6 divided by 50% (6/.5) = wait for it... #B-Well
There is no way that you can write off a gigantic city like LA just like that. There are many outstanding parts of LA. And, there are some not so nice parts like every other major city. You need to have money though. If you don't have money, it's not as much fun. Not a major problem for someone like DHo.
No really, LA is pretty terrible. Unless your trying to be a waiter...I mean an actor, there is no reason to live there. Some pretty parts yes but it doesn't make up for the douchebaggery. Golden State, on the other hand, is in the Bay Area and that is f***ing beautiful and wonderful. So there you have it, Dwight going to GS or Houston.
How many of the people you know that have lived in LA have been rich? And I don't mean "can afford a home in River Oaks" rich, I mean "can run a red light in a $300,000 car with a $5000 an hour hooker sticking her hands into his $1000 silk underwear while straddling his lap in front of a cop without even blinking as his friends count stacks of hundred dollar bills to use to find the next model to get in the car" rich.
That's if you're referring to LA the downtown, which actually looks like a city. Most people outside of LA tend to refer to the whole southern california as LA when it's really a conglomerate of cities and towns where the average building is only about 3 floors, if that. I live in LA and generally like it although the traffic is a pain at times (you plan around it like I suppose people in other places plan around weather), and yes, downtown LA, Compton, and the ports tend to be kind of hideous. But there are beautiful places like there is with anything else, great parks/mountains/beaches, people who have farms in their backyards, easy access to organic food, great events, great diversity... Which means a great variety of people you potentially hate because they're so different from you. It's a neat melting pot especially because there's so much space so therefore so much is tucked away in it's own nook and cranny. You have to know what you're looking for to find it, and it takes a google search or two to find it, but it'll usually exist. It's an interesting and lovely place, imo. Given all that? **** the Lakers.
Stephen A. is close to Dwight and his ppl Stephen A. Smith is an insider in that he actually speaks to pro athletes all the time, he was a beat writer in basketball for a very long time. I guarantee he speaks to more NBA people than we do. There's a reason he gets the 1 on 1 interviews with certain guys. Don't you think if he was lyin when he says "I just spoke to Kobe yesterday" or whomever, they would come out and say "I never spoke to Stephen A"?? He's paid to have these relationships and get info. Just like Chris Broussard, Marc Stein, Adam Schefter, and Wojo from yahoo. JA Adande doesn't know jack but the others guys including Stephen A know their stuff.
