    NEVER.

And the Rockets fans ESPECIALLY those who call themselves "CLUTCHFANS"
should NEVER question the greatness of Hakeem/Akeem "The Dream" Olajuwon.

So what does this have to do with Derrick Rose? Is he being traded to the Rockets?

Yes, yes, I get it, I'm a Rockets fan so I have to believe that Dream is better than Duncan, or Russell, or Kareem, or Shaq. Sure. And while we're at it, Drexler was actually better than Jordan.

No. Bulls fans did not question MJ's greatness. Back in the day Rockets fans never questioned Olajuwon's greatness either. It's only since then that Rockets fans have started saying silly things that get them laughed at like Duncan was better than Hakeem.

It was a different era. Chat rooms and message boards were in their infancy in the 90s. When I watched sports with friends we were all fans. Some criticisms, of course, but in the end we were in it for the fun and the wins. No hiding behind a screen name or trolling. You owned up to your opinions.

Now we have "fans" that are negative 90% of the time. They question every coaching move, player decision and performance. Statistics that can be spun to support every argument under the sun are available to the common man. In short, if MJ was playing today, yes, Bulls fans would question his greatness. There are people that still hold firm that Kobe is a better player than MJ (or at least as good). Anyone who watched both of them for their entire careers would never, ever believe that.

Then these aren't Rockets fan, they aren't real.

Tupac's hologram at coachella was more real than that.

Of course they're not. And Rockets "fans" who don't recognize how good Hakeem really was must not be old enough to remember his career. Duncan has been great on a great team for a very, very long time. His career has far surpassed Dream. But as I posted in that other thread I don't see how anyone can say he's a better player.

Dream played Center during an era with superior big men.

Also Duncan is a power forward.

It just frustrates real Rockets fans that people dismiss Clutch City and Dream so easily.

New Bulls fans inherit in their brains and hearts of MJ

I don't think the same is for Dream, which is a source of pride for the city of Houston and the Rockets and the NBA and the World

Young bloods didn't see the greatness live.

Hakeem Olajuwon was very arguably better than Michael Jordan.

    Believe it...

Tim Duncan never peaked and dominated the game like Olajuwon. Sure, Tim has been on a team that has won a lot of games, but that has a lot more to do with the organization than Tim. Hakeem carried his teams to their championships. It could be argued that Tim was never even the best player on his team in any of his.

Hakeem was better on offense, better on defense, more trustworthy with the ball no matter where you gave it to him, could pick your pocket or block your shot when it seemed impossible 1/2 a second ago, he scored more points, grabbed more rebounds, had far more blocks and steals. He not only was the better player, but performed better over his career. This is probably because Hakeem peaked for a number of years.

Tim might be arguably better if Hakeem never peaked, but he did. Hakeem had 4 seasons that were statistically better than Tim's best season.

This is not an argument that could be made. Here is the other thing, Hakeem got better when facing another great big man. Tim would have had his lunch eaten and would've dropped the jock strap Hakeem handed him when it was over.

Shaq would've been a far greater comparison to the great Hakeem and he couldn't handle Hakeem in a 7 game series. He was forced to give up after 4 games of it. Did Tim ever handle Shaq? Hakeem did. With ease.
