Didn't Dwight say he wanted to go to Brooklyn many times. Everyone knew that was the place he wanted to go.

Also, everyone knew Carmelo wanted to go to NY. It was no secret. He never said it, but we all knew it.

Why can't Dwight "leak out" information that he wants to come to houston. He doesnt have to say the words "I want to go to houston". Just make it clear that he wants to come here.

Just by the way Harden has replied and commented on recruiting. I feel optimistic he will be able to bring him to Htown...

I dont think he would be commenting or replying on tweeter if he hadnt gone
anywhere with his recruiting.. He know something

Just saying, if you're building a contending team, what duo would you have with Harden that would be better than CP3 and Dwight?

(And yes, I feel like an ass throwing Harden under the bus like that considering he's the face of our franchise right now.)

Other than "LOL YUP!", has Harden said anything else regarding recruiting another player to come here? Sorry, I don't use Twitter all that much for my news updates.

You guys still forget how good Gasol is... He is a star if healthy... Nash with a full summer to recover will be fine.

spoken like a laker fan

Nash and Gasol are almost retired...that doesnt bode well for Howards future. Plus they did horrible this year with that line up. Sometimes its not all talent...it has to mesh.

    Lakers did not mesh.

I didn't see anything since, it would be wise of him to keep as quiet as possible. If he gave teams advanced warning they might get drastic. Remember East and West Coast teams hate us because we're not Miami, NY, Boston, or LA. They take personal pride in ruining southern cities' dreams.

I lived in Phoenix for a few years and I watched as Nash slowly lost a step. He has the ability to play into his early 40s. The problem is that his early 40s starts next season.

Gasol is great. I think he can still get you 18/8 with fun to watch arm flailing defense. His health is a concern and he is exiting his prime now. I think his game will allow him to play solid ball for at least 4 more seasons.

Kobe is coming off that achilles injury as we all know. His competitive drive is going to be his downfall. He will play through anything and I think that next season will be his last at an elite level if he is able to get back out there.

The core of the team is entering into their twilights. Dwight is right in his prime. He has a choice and that is try it another season in LA and then wait for a rebuild or come to Houston and start something new and exciting. Both teams have their benefits, I think Houston is the better choice but I'm also a bit biased. Either team would make sense but I'm thinking in the end Houston gets D12.

Honestly, if the Rockets lose out on the Dwight sweepstakes, I'd be more than happy if we could swing a deal for Gasol. The Lakers HAVE to do something about that salary unless they are willing to pay the insanely high taxes for this season, and the Rockets could be the perfect landing spot for him on the final year of his deal.

What would the Rockets give up for Gasol? I think the salaries would line up if it were Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik for Gasol.

We might as well give up Harden too if your goal is to **** the franchise over.

I'd probably offer Terrence Jones and Carlos Delfino and tell them your welcome for allowing you to save your amnesty.

If Dwight Howard and CP3 really wanted to play together and both be willing to take less than the max deals their current teams can offer, why wouldn't Howard just sign with the Clippers (after they dump DeAndre and Caron Butler of course)? I think everyone agrees that location-wise, LA is where both CP3 and Dwight want to be. And the Clippers would be pretty formidable with CP3, Dwight, and Blake Griffin as their core. Adding a couple three point shooters like Kyle Korver and/or JJ Reddick to that mix would be the only missing piece. Plus, they can both contribute to the decision on their next coach. It appears that Donald Sterling has been doing whatever CP3 wants the last 2 years. Stan Van Gundy?

That said, there's also the notion that CP3 was fed up with Howard being such a flake the last time around when they were considering teaming up and, like Deron Williams, does not really want to play with him anymore.

Whoah I just saw this. No :( Why would you move Harden in such a scenario? Getting CP3 and Howard w/ Harden is "technically" doable anyways, but if you asked me to trade 23 yr old 'no real injury history' Harden for 28 yr old 'more expensive and shoddy knees' CP3, I would definitely say no. I mean, that is effectively what you're asking for here since we have room to sign Howard outright (virtually, 1 small move away).
