That he's been on vacation, doesn't know whats going on. Claims everything is made up.

He hasnt denied anything on twitter...other then that he hasnt said anything definitive. He just said if it didnt come from me then dont believe...ive been on vacation.

He never came out and said "hey I am not interested in the rockets!!"

So Howard wants a young playoff team?

Rockets are the only ones that can sign him outright. This is great news since the Lakers will NEVER trade away their franchise future (Howard). They would look like a weak franchise.

nothing so far but I bet he's sorting through all the Laker Fan tweets to him and should be responding to someone here soon.

To be fair, no matter what his intentions with the Rockets are (whether the interest is legit, or it's all just leverage), he never WOULD say that. From a PR standpoint, as well as a career standpoint, that would make no sense. We're probably not going to hear anything from him regarding the Warriors either, honestly.

The Lakers would look so weak and Kobe would ask to be traded. It would be a PR nightmare.

Lakers obviously (even if the "main" selling points are over-sold).

Explain to me why it isn't. At this point the Lakers would rather trade Howard for a trade exemption since they're only way to rebuild the team after Kobe leaves is through free agency.

The Lakers only have 2 of their first round picks for the next 5 years.

I'm intrigued to hear cyberx's answer on this as well.

However, just my personal take on it is that the answer to that is nobody as of right now. Until the Lakers are clear in what they are willing to do as far as the coaching position goes (i.e. firing MDA, bringing in Phil, etc), I don't think Dwight will make a decision. He's not going to tip his hand until he sees the full deck that he's playing with. The Lakers are going to try and do everything they can to get him to sign BEFORE they have to make a decision about their organization, and Dwight is going to do everything he can to get them to cave into his demands.

I agree with this. He's finally a free agent, and teams are coveting him on HIS TERMS. If the Lakers don't give him what he wants in terms of coaching, he's got some pretty good options just waiting for him to call them up. He's living a pretty good life right now.

Sign Dwight. Sign CP3. Keep Parsons. Trade everyone else, including Harden.

You have 2 franchise players that are the best at their position and an excellent role player at a bargain contract to allow the team even more flexibility. Most importantly, you have a core that complements each other rather than abunch of players being thrown together like the Lakers.

Defense both on the perimeter and down low. That would be my dream team right there.

So how much, if any, impact is the Mike D'Antoni situation playing into the Rockets' favor?? Is that even a sticking point with Dwight?

Dwight just needs to sign with Houston, be paired with one of the best pick and roll players in the game right now, and one of the youngest teams in nba history to make the playoffs; who should of beat OKC if it wasnt for some bad calls. Jlin + dwight, beard + Howard= Contenders.

He would be loved and cherished here by most, well as long as he puts in effort
