And the User CP rep page only shows the most recent 10 people. So you probably don't even see most of the ppl who repped you.
I don't see where Minnesota publically stated they only want white players. I don't see where anyone said there was anything wrong with hiring black coaches either.

so what does it say about chris if he knows donald to be a racist yet still willing to be employed by him??? i think you're giving chris too much credit here. i think he just feels more comfortable with a black coach... either that or he believes black coaches are not getting a fair shake in the NBA and is using his influence to get more of them in there. i can respect the latter but doesn't seem like it.
Chris Paul didn't want to be on the Clippers, if you recall, he was redirected there by Stern for "basketball reasons" Sterling isn't just a horrible bigot, or a bad basketball owner; he's basically one of the worst people in the universe by his own admission; a brief listing of his accolades:
i'm really bugged that the color of a coach's skin even matters. if you want to win, don't you want the best coach?
Speaking of the laundry list of Sterling's off color history, he also berated Baron Davis with racial slurs (I think).
The best first response to a thread with the most reps award goes to: DonkeyMagic http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=202893 His image link doesn't work in that thread anymore, but the Grant Hill picture above is the one he used. to put this in context...this was right after Jalen Rose made that stupid "Uncle Tom" comment about Grant Hill and Duke, and Hill made that exquisitely perfect memo response to the media. Remember.
It has been a couple of days and no reputable news service will even acknowledge the story. Are they all protecting Chris Paul or is the NY Daily News full of ****? I think it's the latter. They have no quote and no named sources and no one from Chris Paul or the Clippers have dignified the story with a response.
The problem is that most people (Chris Paul in this case) don't realize that turning any issue into one regarding race technically makes you a racist. I don't know when the definition of racism changed to "White people oppressing African-Americans," in American media, but African-Americans, Latinos, Hispanics, and Asian-Americans tend to be just as racist as Caucasians, and this is a pretty good example of that. I have my racist moments, if you're honest with yourself you know you do too, but it seems other ethnicities in this country get carte blanche to say whatever they want about other creeds, nationalities, and ethnicities without a second thought. Just my opinion. Happy to discuss anyone's thoughts to the contrary.
