LOL! Bad title by Jezebel.com: Reddit Users Attempt to Shame Sikh Woman, Get Righteously Schooled Woman: Spoiler FAIL attempt at being funny by the guy on reddit.
She said "my kids will forget my voice" I can't help but think what it'd be like to "have a moment" with a bearded woman? I mean that's what's required for her to have kids, right? Must be nice to feel hair rub on my chin as I kiss my wife.
Why do we reward people with plaudits for playing the victim and feigning righteous indignation? Does she want a cookie for her bravery at expressing offense? That she would allow words of others to affect her is a testament to her own lack of self worth. Frankly that's a dumb religion to practice if she wants to be aesthetically appealing to most men. But to each their own.
Honestly, I don't think this particular woman would be attractive to men even if she did cut her facial hair. I don't think most men find women with enough facial hair that they need to shave regularly to be attractive.
Reddit. Gotta love it. Meh, I'll stick with Clutchfans. what religion or agnostic way of life lets you "frankly" call other people and religions offensive names? How did I miss it? Searches turned up NOTHING. I know it's from 2012, that's why I searched for it... but... nothing. Thanks. You can lock it up, mods.
who said she was playing victim? she was just spreading knowledge of why she looks the way she is and let people know more of her religion. pretty sure she doesn't care what she looks like to most other men.
So true. If someone is racially bashed or bashed for their religion they should shut up and go into their corner and not say anything. How dare people stand up for what their personal beliefs are and hope for fair treatment. How dare someone get offended by bigotry.
While this young woman is incredibly brave and quite intellectual...she needs to wax that ish off her face if she ever wants a man...just sayin...
Self-actualization is not caring what others think of you. When you reach that state it's a pretty content place to be. Otherwise you are giving them power over you.
What? Self Actualization is the notion to reach one's full potential. This includes having a realistic outlook of yourself, being independent, and constantly receiving inspiration from their surroundings. It is not limited to "not caring what others think of you". Thats your "definition" to help rationalize your idiotic and unneeded argument. Why you have a problem with her response is beyond me. It was in no way "expressing offense" or written in a way as if to paint her as a victim. Please spare us all the trouble next time and just make a thread in the D&D if you want to argue about your "perceptions".
I didn't know Sikh women wear the turbans as well. I thought only men wear them and the women wear the traditional sarees or something.
Wow, so basically you didn't even read her reply. She basically did the exact opposite of what you're saying she did. Keep fighting the good fight, though.
