How is that a fluke play? LBJ got a WIDE OPEN set 3 off of a hustle play. That happens in a game.

A George 35 foot heave doesn't happen every game.

You keep acting like everyone on the Pacers had a great game when its far from the truth. David West was a beast and George hit some big shots but even he shot super bad. Pacers didn't have a good game, I'm surprised they were in it.

He got the ball with a second to go and picked up and shot it. The shot Hibbert took wasn't too bad for NBA players, good 3pt shooters can hit that on a decent %.

George shot 7-16, that's a great shooting game for him. He came into this game shooting 36.6% from the field in the playoffs. And he shot 41% in the regular season.

Pacers average 43% shooting from the field in the regular season. They shot 44.7%.

They played well. Very well. And they dominated a lot of categories that win you games (rebounds, free throws...)

He's the best player in the world. He shot 40%+ from 3 from the regular season. You're questioning whether he can make that shot?

For the entire regulation period he was quiet, only had 2 pts at half-time. Trust me , that won't happen often.

Hill was an abomination tonight, kept turning it over and choking, stephenson chucked away and sucked too.

Hansborough and West were the most consistent and Hibbert was decent.

I don't know the rebounding #s but from what I saw they were awful, heat got too many offensive rebounds, 4 on that one posession in OT or late in the 4th.

Pacers gave up 60 points in the paint to the Heat. LBJ didn't even drive the entire game, just pathetic.

    Birdman MVP, LOL!

Theres a difference between getting the ball rolled to you with the shot clock just aobut to go off and not being able to set, get a good look at the basket and just firing away. Lebron has an inhuman % this season but that has a lot to do with his cherry picking of shots. I don't doubt he can shoot a 3 with a man in his face or without getting a propper look at the basket but it would be a lot lower. Watch that play again, that was a catch and shoot. George's shot was further down but it wasn't a super impossible shot to make either.

So in a playoff series v. the champions, you're expecting your 4th/5th/6th best players to step up to win the series? If that's your logic, you should be expecting Indy to lose rather than trying to prop up this argument.

And I'm not even bringing up the suckage that is Cole/Allen/Battier/Haslem on offense. Why? B/c the're role players. You don't expect them to show up offensively half of the time.

And George put up 25 points after halftime. That won't happen again either. It balances out.

Aren't they supposed to have a field day with the Spurs first?

Its not about expecting them to play like All stars, its about getting them to play up to their role at least. Take a look at the situation in terms of the context and not just x= role player. The pacers are a team that relies much more on cohesive play. Like you said, the Heat have Lebron James the best player in the world along with Bosh and Wade. They are always the main pieces and can take over games. While George and West may be good they rely on their other role players stepping up and opening the floor for them.

Expecting Ray Allen to shoot better than 1-8 and missing FTs is more realistic than expecting Hill/Stephenson to play better v. the Heat perimeter's D. Chalmers/Cole/Wade are very very good perimeter defenders. And outside of those 2, everyone who played significant minutes played well for the Pacers.

Let me tell you who sucked for the Heat:
    Allen: 1-8
    Cole: 1-4
    Battier: 0-4
    Haslem: 1-6

and they all played at least 20 minutes.

And LBJ just campainged for Mike Miller to play more. Good coaching move Lebron.

No one is going to talk about the Bosh push off on Hibbert which resulted in a 3 point play.

So basically the role players cancelled out.

This game was a toss up, some of these role players need to step up in order for a certain team to win. Tonight it was Birdman even though the Pacers definitely had this win.

Btw, Battier and Haslem aren't capable offensive players compared to Stephenson and Hill.

    nope,

only a 17-16 edge in offensive rebounds and only a 43-38 edge in overall rebounds. They didn't dominate anything, for being the best rebounding team in the league playing the worst rebounding team in the league.

Miami got the majority of the hustle plays.

    Miami shot 485

Just a suck-a$$ played and coached game.

If they are not devastated by Vogel's blunder, I expect a better effort on Friday night.
