I love his phony pretending he would ever be against the "freedom" of corporations moving jobs to the cheapest labor possible. Rand woud be against building restrictions for Bangladesh factories. I hope Rand wins the GOP/libertarian nomination so he can be crushed and I can chuckle when he belatedly pretends he is for defending social security and gives a damn if people not in his income bracket can get medical care.
Capital moves to where it can exploit the most profits. This is often to the detriment of the country at hand---see the Asian Financial Crisis for why it's not exactly good to have hot capital inflows and outflows, and an economy based on capital. If you really think corporate tax is the make and break for capital inflows in America, you've missed the boat on the last fifty years or so of economic history. Hell, try the last hundred. America will always be great because of the environment it provides those with ideas, and not because of the money that follows those ideas. It could be even better if it got more competitive in terms of supporting idea generators, rather than capital exploiters. People forget that idea generators and executers are what build an economy, not people who move capital to and fro. Capital is a very small part of an idea, and it is only powerful in its' ability to compel things that can be given without it (time, effort, dedication). Make sure the idea generators, the STEM executors, and the researchers are happy, and you'll have your economy. Bankers and capital? Means to an end, at best.

that is just stupid !. w a national sales tax system, black market transactions would skyrocket; while favoring empty nesters, it places disproportionate tax burden on young family with chidren. very quickly, this tax inequity would lead to social unrest; it would make the Boston tea party look like a beach outing the dizzying height of stupidity
We have billions in tax cheating going on now. And you'd have to find a retailer willing to go to prison to sell to you without the tax. good point, the solution is a prebate, already in the FairTax law <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/upeCzEQSXtU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> smart take
in a national sales the system, it would be a thousand fold ! u don't even understand what black market transactions are a half-azzed idea does not a solution make ! ignorance kills!
