Don't underrate it. I remember Scola single handedly kept us in a playoffs game by his out of worldly flopping skills.
I actually think that`s what I did... have to check my mail account on that. But alright, I´ll mail him again, maybe I get lucky now...
Well how about that, that was quick. Thanks Rockets2k and thanks Clutch... finally I can edit my posts, feels great!
Luis had his limitations, but he and Landry formed a formidable pair in the playoffs against the Jazz. Luis gave a decent account of himself on defense,in that series. He was brilliant in parts against Portland too,and no one should forget how he tortured the Lakers in the playoffs. If D-Mo can show even half of Luis' courage,he will earn some minutes on the court.
Good news, he's still so young and green it's ridiculous how quickly some people here have written him off. You got to give an NBA player at least 3 years, especially bigs, to see what they can offer. He will fill out with age and weight training. He's already nice in the post. He will (hopefully) get better on D too with experience and familiarity with the team and system.
mchale needs to teach him defense and scola needs to teach him offense. i see the potential post up game in DMO, and it appears he already has a few post up tricks in his arsenal. i was actually pretty surprised of the moves he showed in a couple of games, not many players can back a man down and finish at the rim with finesse these days. if he begins to put some points up, he would be a great fit next to asik. although i like 7 fters to have some defensive presence, and that is something his game is definitely lacking. we will see how he improves during the off season.
