I didn't read the join date but the answer is going to be Manu.

    What about Marc Gasol?

He probably needs to win at least 2 rings, which won't happen in Memphis.

You're right Manu's got it sewed up.

I'm with you on this choice. Really good one and Manu truly deserves to be in the HOF.

Petrovic was drafted 60th, pretty sure Manu or Gasol can't beat that.

Monta "have it all" Ellis is in the running stats wise.

Gilbert Arenas would've been one if he had half a brain.

Knowing this thread is old, I'm participating anyways.

I guess Drazen is in the HOF. Doesn't really seem like he should be. I understand he had an international career as well, and the basketball HOF takes that into account, and that its crappy that he died so young, but he did die young. I mean its not like Len Bias is in the HOF.

That said, as far as really really undervalued picks, Dennis Rodman has to be near the top of that list. He was drafted 27th, is a 5 time champion, 2 time defensive player of the year, 7 time all defense first team (2 more than Hakeem, though that's a farce) and one of the best post defenders ever, one of the best rebounders EVER (guy averaged over 18 rpg twice, and over 14 rebounds per game 8 years, including his last year at the age of 38... he averaged 19 boards per 36 minutes one year... that's a rebound every two minutes... incredible.. and this was in the mid 90s, not the 50's or anything)

If there were 8-teams then, even last of the 2nd round, would be #16.

    for a comeback?

The Cat will only be in the BBHoF as a visitor. Nice career and I like the guy. But I know HoFers and the Cat? He's not one.:(

So far no. He IS trying to make a come back but I don't see him playing at a HOF level at this age.

57th overall with One of the best international careers ever and a cornerstone piece to one of the most dominant and consistent franchises this league has ever seen.

Manu will go down as the greatest 2nd round/ (lowest pick) to turn into a great player.

This thread makes me feel old.

Regarding Drazen and Ginobody, they were flyers (like Sabonis was) where the team knew they wouldn't come into the league for awhile. Took them both 3+ years before they came over. So, they "fell" in the draft for reasons other than bball skills.

They are somewhat artificial low picks, dropping due to availability. Compare that to Tony Parker who told the Spurs he'd come over his first year. Guys like Rodman are the more pure 2nd round picks.

btw: the Mobley comment, as I recall, was a joke ... us MOFs liked to make stupendous predictions about his skillz to rile the MOHs. ... and he was also one sexy mofo.
