zbo is playing like crap. The spurs really got his number so far. Im not really sure memphis can hang with san antonio depth.
I know its early in this series and early in tonights game but its starting to look like the Grizzlies have benefited from playing some hobbled teams with bad coaching. If Duncan starts bringing anything to the table offensively on any consistent basis, this could be a sweep, 5 games at the most.
At least if the Spurs win the ship, that means we would get ours soon enough right? 0-2-4 In the future: 1-3-5
The Spurs organization is just amazing -- I can't believe they are about to play in another finals. They have Memphis utterly confounded.
spurs are playing there ass off. unless marc and conley get it going the grizzlies about to get schooled again.
If the Griz aren't going to play defense then they don't have a chance, especially playing 3 on 5 on offense with Prince and Allen out there. Their perimeter offense and play-making is very poor. Too bad they don't have Rudy Gay. Edit: Also, I usually don't complain about officiating, but I thought that was a poorly officiated 1st half. That phantom 3rd foul on Conley changed the 1st half. SA didn't even get a team foul called on them in the 2nd qtr until there was 30 seconds left.
Win or lose, if the Grizzlies get their legs and play like they are capable in the 2nd half, they have a good chance to go back to Memphis and win both games. If the Spurs win this one going away, Grizzlies are in very serious trouble. Ground Rule #1 (laid out by Pop): Z-Bo, you are NOT going to beat us. Grizzlies need other guys to take advantage of the swarming and hit open shots. It's on Gasol, Conley and Bayless to light things up if Z-Bo can't do it. At this point, the question is should Memphis keep force feeding him until they figure out the defense. Another 1/10 half can't happen. At what point does Hollins remove Z-Bo from the game and try something else? The fact he's rebounding tells me they should keep going to him and dance with who brought them here.
