Well, katarina wasn't into little Asian guys. That has no correlation to an animal and a human falling in love or going down the path of desire, where they BOTH want each other. Sexuality isn't so black and white. Just like I never grew up planning to live with multiple women - sometimes two mammals in a forest may get lost in the moment and hump each other. What part of consenting animal don't you get? A guy attracted to deer probably understands its body language and emotions more than someone who only likes humans. We shouldnt demonize him as a rapist because we don't understand it. Rape is an over simplication of this issue.

The latest bit of info I read about how it originated was that the monkeys who passed the virus to humans were actually bitten by a specific type of bat who are the original carriers of the disease. Some of these monkeys eventually attacked human beings by biting and that is how it got transmitted to us.
That could very well be true. Like I said, I don't pretend to be a scientist -- I just worked for them a long time ago and was privy to the chatter. I know that there is a lot of work in Sub-Saharan Africa to keep great apes from being eaten and to study diseases they carry that jump species when they do. But almost for certain, it wasn't from inter-species sex and I trust that the people at UCLA that research HIV know better than anyone that would claim that it does.

Plenty is known about human sexuality (and animal behavior for that matter) just in the field of neuroscience alone, never mind psychology. Nothing is preventing a human from being sexual attracted to anything, but equating zoophilia to homosexuality is offensive.
