First of all, props to JR for a great thread and posts!!!

    About the Rudolf interview...

It sounds to me like Rudolf is still Dwight's confidant, it seems apparent from the way he's talking that he has spoken to Dwight in some detail about Free Agency and Houston.

The most telling quote for me was if you got him setting screens for a PG that lost a step, and you have to set him so far out. He was obviously having a go at Steve Nash and its just further confirmation that DWIGHT IS UNHAPPY IN LA.

The praise for McHale was telling that Dwight feels the coach is important to him. Jim Buss has said D'Antoni is 100% coming back and let him fire the old staff and bring in all his support staff. I seriously doubt MDA is going anywhere unless there is a coup and bloodletting in LaLa land which is unlikely. Moreover, people should remember that Hakeem is Dwight's "sensei" and Dwight really idolizes him. More than playing for McHale, if Dwight is a Rocket, he will be playing for Hakeem and his legacy... the emotion there should not be under estimated.

    Houston are front runners now:

    Houston 45%
    Lakers 40%
    Other 15%

    Yes, JR, props.

But - - BUTBUTBUT: do NOT sleep on Cubes. MarCuban is a force; Jim Buss is a farce.

    What. Does. DHoHo. WANT?!!

I think it's going to help immensely that Cuban swung and missed on Deron last summer. That takes away a lot of his mystique.

Honestly, Dallas is in the same boat as LA. Aging legend (Dirk/Kobe) that no longer can carry a team to title contention on his own. Declining more with each year. No room for further additions this summer. Neither is a contender in 2013-14, even with Dwight, and the pitch from both boils down to who they might can sign in July 2014.

If Dwight isn't willing to take that leap of faith on Mitch Kupchak and the Lakers, I don't see him doing it for Cuban in Dallas. Especially after his well-publicized Deron plan (and failure) a year ago.

This times a thousand. Dwight wants to win NOW. What team affords him the greatest opportunity to do that? 2 teams that have aging stars, or a team that has a 23-year-old stud that is only going to get better with time? It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. I truly believe that Dwight Howard is going to be a Rocket sooner rather than later.

Dallas called a long shot and Atlanta an even longer long shot according to Stephen A.(fwiw; some might say that's just common knowledge, ha.)

    LA/Houston/Houston/LA?
And I guess the slight chance of Dallas

I guess basically does he have the balls to walk? I don't think he does. Dwight worries about his image, likes to be liked, wants to be liked. (Yeah, some will come back and say "What better to help his image than to come to Houston and win?" I guess, but I still don't see him walking.)

I ainta no genius. I do believe in Cuban. When a deal on DHoHo is signedsealeddelivered, or at least announced by Berman and Woj in early July, then I will believe in the destination (which by all rationale should be TheToyShop.

    Go Beard Go and recruitrecruitrecruit!!!

Wow. Is this real life? It seems like everyday we are inching closer to acquiring Howard. Rudolph seems to be pushing Dwight to Houston agenda HARD.

Dwight said his decision will center on his right to be happy.

Is he happy in LA? NO WAY NO DAY.

MDA would probably like to see him go.
The players; Kobe, Gasol, Nash are luke warm on him.
    The fans are split 50/50.
The fornt office only want to keep him because if he walks it would set their franchise back at least 3 years.

Dwight is not staying with the Lakers and Houston has the best shot at the moment.

    Bwaaahahaha!!!

Dwight's minions are really slamming the Laker's hard!!!
Is this Dwight's way of giving the Lakers the finger?

I love that Dwight and his circle enjoy Laker bashing!
Come to Houston and indulge in it some more! On and off the court!
