OK thanks. I did some research and he seems pretty well established. Its a report and not a tweet so maybe it has more credibility.

probably have read 100+ dwight rumor threads, this guy gets the nba hyped every time he farts. before i was in favor of getting him. but i have to concede that this guy is a loser, a very talented loser, but none the less no desire to win. if he signs with houston, than that just means he is slightly interested in basketball. this guy is a ****ing diva, no fire like kobe said.

Basketball aside, as a city, what's not to like about Houston?

    The heat and humidity
    The suburban sprawl
****ty mass transit (probably not relevant to Dwight, to be fair)

Don't get me wrong, I love Houston, but it has its downsides.

Not if you have a 25,000 SQ feet mansion with a big pool in your backyard...
Im sure the summer will not bother Dwight Howard

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Dwight
    Asik
That is one huge lineup great size and length to defend I'm sure we would be one of the top defenses

But is all that enough to say you don't like Houston? Probably not. More upsides than downsides.

This combo of Asik/Howard is only temporary until we get K.Love.....(I said it first) ......

Very excited to hear of Dwight's interest in Houston. As others have noted, it's quite the 180 from his stance from a little over a year ago.

As for the idea of playing Dwight and Asik together, there's no way we should entertain that thought. Spacing would be atrocious and neither would be able to close out on perimeter-oriented 4's. If we keep Asik, the situation will be eerily reminiscent of the situation in Orlando with Marcin Gortat being paid a boatload to be a back up. Asik has too much value to take that approach and Rockets brass knows that.

Howard to Houston makes too much sense to not at least have rumors like these. I don't know if I'm happy about it or not.

If we get Dwight.. We need to trade Asik and Lin to Boston for Rondo..
maybe not both but Rondo would look good next to Harden and Dwight Howard

to some extent ...that was a red flag for me regarding the credibility of this article. I get the fact that Dwight wants to have a real free agency, and that part of that means being able to look closely at other teams, but i doubt very much that Asik is in our plans if the Dightmare comes to Houston. Dwight can't stretch the 4 ...at all, so he's gonna have to be a 5; and we all know that Asik can only play the 5. So ...if dwight comes to houston, it will be about Parsons, Harden, China marketing, the smartest GM in the league, etc. ...it won't be about Asik.
