I expressed my hatred of her with my wife and my wife was surprised. So maybe it's me and the idea in my head that she should remember her position, STFU, and be grateful with what she's getting now. But my wife is looking at it from Shae's perspective instead? I dunno. I'm not good at dissecting that sort of stuff.
Great episode tonight. Suck that there's no new episode next week. Really looking forward to the episode on 6/2.
It is. But it's an odd decision to replace your highly rated fantasy series with a Liberace bio pic. The next episode should be THE episode of the series thus far. The point in the story that the producers had hoped the series would last long enough for us to see. Season 2 Episode 9 was the Battle of the Blackwater. This should be the climax of this season and the singular moment most book readers have been waiting for. So maybe they're putting the gap in there to build the suspense.
Thats what I'm thinking. But I feel the 2 week wait will make some book readers spoil it for non-readers. Warning, if you haven't read the books don't read any comments on the Facebook Game of Thrones page or comments on YouTube channels. Because you know what they say, the comment sections are dark and full of spoilers
I'm guessing gap is for Memorial Day weekend For a second I thought the banquet scene was something even more significant, got my timelines mixed up from the books. Have they explained why Joffrey and Maergery have not been married yet?
I think the "moment" you speak of will happen in the season climax. Every season, they have an incredible moment in the last scene. (Danny and the Dragonbirth, The Others marching on the Fist of the First Men). I just read this "moment" you speak of in A Storm of Swords. I can't imagine not showing that in the finale for season 3. Its such a HUGE moment. There is another big story surrounding Jon Snow that was written in ASOS at about the same point in the book that also needs resolving. Perhaps that will be week 9 "Big Moment".
Look at the episode titles. The big moment will be the 9th episode. Much like how the 2nd to last episode of the 2nd season was the Battle of Blackwater, the climax, and the finale was kind of a wind down episode. I think Episode 9 will be the climax, episode 10 will show the after affects, and then finish off the season with a cliff-hanger, much like season 2.
That's it. Last year Blackwater aired on the Memorial Day weekend. Best episode of that season and by far its lowest-rated. See "ratings" halfway down the page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_Thrones_(season_2)
I stand corrected. The title of the episode is a definite giveaway if you've read the book. I just read this portion on Thursday (in a desperate attempt to stay ahead of the TV series) so its fresh in my mind. I read it over 3 times to really soak it in. Just a MASSIVE moment in the story. MASSIVE.
Yeah, it had been spoilered for me from accidentally reading the online Wiki's, but nonetheless it still hit me hard. Very well written, powerful scenes of the series.
Spoiler I would say the book readers need to ease up on what's upcoming but if you don't want to have any spoilers you should stay out of this thread by now. I just hope the tv series does justice to how the book hit me with this episode.
