I think this is going to be a great series. I'm calling it tight now, that Pacers will make a series out of it. Crazy prediction, the Pacers will have a 3-1 series lead at one point.

In his defense, he did say "decent defender", nowhere does he say the best center

The pacers are going to MAKE lebron score to win. The Pacers are going to shut down everybody else.

The only flaw in the pacers game right now is that they talk games off.

Last year Bosh (who's more important to them than Wade, IMO) missed pretty much the whole series and they still won. I think they'd still survive Wade missing a couple games.

That's because the talking heads on TV know what they are talking about. Sure, the Pacers might take it to 6 games, and if they do is that a victory for you? The Heat may go up 2-0 and relax and let the Pacers win a game or two, but that doesn't mean the Pacers proved the talking heads wrong. I say heat in 5 or 6 games depending on how motivated they are and I'll tipjar bet any of that.

And last year in the heat/pacers thread (i just read through it) when the Pacers were up 2-1 you pretty much crowned them and then the heat ran off 3 straight and you disappeared (and blamed the refs for everything). Now you're back talking about how the Heat can't rebound and how Lebron is going to be facing a real defense, even though he shredded this very same defense last year. I'm not sure I understand your thought process other than the fact that your simply just a pacer homer and that's cool so good luck to your pacers but they are about to get punked.

That and Chris Andersen has been much more productive than Joel Anthony this year down low - well that and they also have Ray Allen this year, the greatest 3pt shooter in the history of the NBA.

He's playing w/ 2 other superstars and clearly the best supporting cast in the NBA. He has more "help" than your average superstar

Wade has been a nonfactor for most of the playoffs. Doesn't change much at all. Heat in 6.

LeBron will have some bad nights because of that superior defense. And those 2nd and 3rd chances for Indiana (because of rebounding advantage) may lead to 6-7 game series.

Battier has impressed upon LBJ that a successful outcome of any possession is one in which the most efficient possible shot is taken.

LBJ doesn't care about box score stats any more.

The only reason bulls lost was cause they couldn't score most of their games.

Pacers have players they can go to to get some buckets. It's All about getting buckets *uncle drew voice* it's gonna be a 6-7 game series and if George hill dominates and doesn't let cole or Chalmers score, pacers win. When I say that, I mean, the bench shouldn't be allowed to score many points.

Are you kidding me? Hibbert is a great defensive C(better than Gasol imo who has Tony Allen, Prince, and Conley) and George is arguably the best wing defender in the league. Not to mention they have great defensive schemes.
How in god's name is their defense overrated?

Their defense is not overrated at all. This will be Miami's first challenge so far. However, Miami handled them 4-2 last year without Bosh in the first two games and Miami is even better this year with a healthy Bosh, Birdman, and Ray Allen so I'm not sure how anyone thinks that this year will be any better for the Pacers?

The Bulls lost because they can't score, yes. The Bulls games also seemed closer than they should have been because Miami was bored and unmotivated. You're giving the hobbled Bulls way too much credit.

Remember, Miami whipped a healthy Bulls team WITH a healthy MVP Derrick Rose 2 years ago 4-1.

2 years is a lot of time for improvements for both teams. Two years ago butler didnt even play. Two years ago rockets didnt make the playoffs. 2 years ago Lebron didn't win a championship and was known to be a "choker". Time changes, you really don't know what would happen if every player in the bulls were healthy. It would at least go to game 7.
