I've always loved the porsche design but this latest 911 is simply over the top.

The hump on the back looks weird. Curious to see the hardtop.

I think 94 was the last 911 model I thought looked great. As far as my personal taste goes their design has regressed ever since.

Looks more like a 928 or 932. That original body design was perfect and distinctly German, don't know why they ever changed it.

The first of this latest body style for the 911s was released in 2012 as the base Carerra. These latest variants for 2014 are some of the more performance oriented models with that C4S in the video posted above.

I think Porsche's always look better in person. In video is ok. In pictures... It just doesn't capture the magic. I also think Porsche's look dumb in convertible.

The fastest I've ever driven was in a Porsche. I got a mid 90s 911 up to 154 on 1488 north of the woodlands, back in the day before it was developed. Yea Ted I didn't fully appreciate the stupidity of it at the time, but it felt just as stable at 154 as it did at 54 mph. Felt like it had another 20-30 in it easily. I got smoked by a Ferrari 10 minutes later - cant remember the model.

My brother-in-law is a wealthy Porsche 911 "nut," who purchased what will probably be his last, the last model with the iconic air-cooled engine. He searched all over the country for just what he wanted, and then flew out to buy it and drive it back to San Antonio. I think he bought one somewhere on the West Coast. Must be nice to be able to do something like that.

That one is somewhat close. The 'po' as in "porridge".

Not a fan of the modern designs. My family had a brown 930 back in the day. Now that was a beautiful representation of West German engineering.

Is this out yet? I think I saw one on the road the other day. It was a brand new 911 with paper plates on it. I still like the Panamera over this.

Why didn't he have it delivered (like $600-$800)? I wouldn't want to put miles on it like that.

I bought my Cayman from Alabama. I thought about it having it delivered but it wouldn't have worked out. I still had to do a lot of paper work at the dealer and that would have been a pain over the internet. Plus it's good to see the car in person and drive it before you sign for it. And I didn't like the horror stories about shipping services I read.

Porsche's do look dumb as convertibles, men shouldn't buy convertible Porsche's. Even a targa is pushing it.

A lot of sports cars, even old ones from the 70's (and probably older) feel smooth at high speeds, many old/loud ones actually feel more stable in my experience.

Seems quite a few of you are not a fan with the new Porsche. Not sure what u have been smokin' but plz pass to the left.

Maybe it is a generation gap....i happen to be born in the 80's and love the new modern interiors to go along with high performance. Older Porsche cars were great don't get me wrong but the latest rendition of the 911 is my favorite.
