Pop - has 4 rings, and has the reputation of one of the top coaches in the history of the game.

Spoelstra - has the best player on the planet and one a ring last year.

Hollins - has 1 ring as a player and two nba championship players on the team - TAY and Tony

Vogel - probably the least experienced of the bunch, but his team has improved every year in the playoffs that he has been the coach.

I'd say Vogel, because the Pacers are the youngest and the most inexperienced team. It doesn't mean that he will be the best coach, he's inexperienced too.

I left the question open-ended. Biggest impact could mean contributing to the teams success in some way or failure in some way.

If it is the best coach, pop has that in the bag, but I'd say that if things go south in the pacers-heat series, Spoelstra strikes me as the least likely to be able to cope with it. I get the impression that Spoelstra just doesn't do much to help his team.

The Vogel-Spoelstra matchup is interesting in theory, but I think the Heat are just too good for the coaching matchup to matter much.

I picked Hollins, because we already know what we're getting from Pop (a brilliant series). How Hollins exploits his advantages (or doesn't) could land the series anywhere from Grizz in 5 to Spurs in 5, honestly.

I voted Pop, I think that is easy.

On this comment though, Spoelstra I think has gotten better. I think him getting to talk to Riley every single day, and he seems like someone who would listen to every word Riley says and start implementing it.

I feel like he'd be just fine even if stuff goes south. He might not know exactly how to fix it that game, but after the game he can call Riley and get any info that he needs.

Yeah I'm gonna go with Lionel Hollins on this one. He's an elite defensive coach, but the Grizz inability to run good offensive sets has lost them a lot of games this year. I think it might be their undoing in the Spurs series since the Spurs can match up better with the Grizz (Duncan/Splitter on Gasol/Randolph) without giving up much of their offense.

I would say Hollins AND Vogel.

Hollins because, if he doesn't coach well, SA wins 4-0. Hollins has to be somewhat good for Memphis to be competitive.

Vogel because he has to gameplan for James, Wade and Bosh.

Pop is Pop. Give him a team of just D-Leaguers, and he'll probably make the playoffs in either conference.

Spo? James is the real coach. lol
