You see? Trolls can dig corpses out. You don't guarantee nothing.

That was not my intention I was just trying to point out the lack of care and compassion that some people here have for others.

he's good enough to be a solid back up for the Rockets, I'd still start MAZE featuring Patrick Beverley at PG

No. What the hell you talking about?

Bev's good giving energy off the bench. Brooks should start.

Go with Roxlove plan of trading Lin to a Demographically suitable city.
btw, Roxlove, can you specify? Which cities are demographically suitable for Lin?

There are many great potential teams where Lin will be better loved and appreciated I feel.
Kings, back with the Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks in a couple of years when it will be a fresh start with a rather different team (maybe even different coach who knows), Nets ... there are other possibilities. (Maybe Seattle even whenever they get their butts in gear and build a new team again.)

Why would those places be more demographically suitable for Lin than Houston?

Thanks for the dig up actually. Some very interesting reads.

    Well that didn't happen.

There is a good gerontocrat afterall. Exactly my sentiment when witnessing "the Hate".

Why do you post the same question in three different threads?

Gee, if you can't figure out the answer to this one out, then perhaps you should seek out some answers on Lin's unofficial fan site, where the posters there seem to agree with what I am suggesting.

They want Lin in one of these cities much more badly than I do. Why indeed?

Well, I actually AM new to posting I confess hehe, am an odd man out sort of usually, but I have done more than a fair share of lurking! ... I guess after our season ended I saw fit to 'come out of the closet' as they say (but not in THAT way haha) and join in with the crazy mud slinging and passionate discussion here. I like that it is a wild bunch overall, but it seems like most of us here in the end don't get too upset with teasing here and there, as it is mostly innocent I like to think, and I realize that some of the posts are ribbing/ in jest, while many are quite serious of course .. but yes, I can step down off of my 'high horse' of a podium once in a while and compliment as well when it is due. And sure, I have been wrong before I can admit that usually. Still working on it though, it isn't easy! I have my pride lol.

~lol~ no wonder I'm seeing some atypical activities; (you appeared as a LOH and suddenly you went "I know what you guys mean. Some of the haters here need to grow up!") I understand now since you ARE new.

But what I don't understand is, if you're new, how could you be "an odd man out usually" and where do you get your "'high horse' of a podium" from?

It's good that you are here "in jest". I am certainly not getting real upset, definitely wouldn't be coming back if I am. I guess except maybe when "the Hate" happened; again, exactly what DAROckets said, very disappointing.

Do you mean Asian fans like Asian players? And this is OK with you? And if black fans prefer black players and white fans prefer white players, this is OK with you? Natural but not OK, I suppose? But you just wanna go with it and send the Asian to the "Asian" place, and the blacks to the "black" place and the whites to the "white" place? Maybe I'm not understanding you. . . .

When an Asian player is a rare sight in the league, and that Asian player is a direct repudiation of many of the harmful stereotypes that Asians have had to deal with for a long time, then hell yes Asian fans can "prefer" that Asian player.

But once Asian players become more common and those stereotypes become a thing of the past, then yes, simply cheering for a player b/c of his race would just be racism.

For example, white players are not a rare sight in the NBA. White players like Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash have won MVPs without much controversy. Moreover, there are white superstars in all the major sports and there is no dearth of positive portrayals of whites in the media.

Therefore, a fan who "prefers" David Lee or Kevin Love just because they're white are probably acting out of some disdain for Blacks, as opposed to some form of long-suppressed pride and dignity.

Jeremy Lin IS AN AMERICAN. He belongs in any city in America. Those of you who say he should not play in Houston but rather should play in LA, San Francisco, NY or somewhere else that will better support his Asian heritage are UNAMERICAN. Why don't all of you F off to a country that better supports DUMB ASSES.
