I refuse to believe Dallas has better anything than us, maybe skanks, but not pizza.

And all those Chicago joints should have asterisks beside them. It's not Pizza! It's more of an open face empanada.

Any list with Roppolo's on it has no credibility. The only time you eat there is if you are piss drunk.

Never heard of Pizaro's, I bet it sucks doesn't it? These lists are all politics and $. And while I'm here I'd like to nominate Late Night Pies for worst pizza of all-time. I think I got aids from a slice.

no joke man, that is insane. any average by-the-slice spot in nyc kills is about 100 times better than that.

Fail list. Pequod's is not on it as well as a host of other ones nationally.

i will say they did get #1 correct (definitely worthy, at least). old man di fara doesn't have much longer...it's cool to see him in action before he croaks.

Grew up literally 2 blocks from this place. Ate at this place pretty much all my elementary school life until I moved across the street from the projects. It's good, but I guess overexposure has made it more of a meh experience for me

craziest thing about this place is that its a pig sty and every single person who eats there knows that too. The health dept could shut it down for 2 weeks because of rats or something and I guarantee there will be a huge line of people waiting for the place to reopen

    This is funny.

I don't think I've been to any of those restaurants...but I've discovered something recently (that alot of other people probably already knew)...if you buy the standard off the shelf fresh daily made pizza from Sams Club and take it home and cook it/warm it up on a wood pellet grill, you almost can't taste as good as that. Wood pellet grill pizza cooking is beyond underrated.

ha...i went 3 years ago...it's impressive that they have sustained the buzz for so long. there can't be too many places in the country that can say that.

any idea how his son's restaurant in vegas is doing?

They've had that buzz for about 2 decades now I think, ever since the Village Voice put them up there as best in NYC.

BTW I don't know if its just the places I been to, but I feel like Chiacgo pan pizza is the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. Every time I've had one of these chicago style pizzas, the crust is thick and doughy. Disgusting mess. I don't know how people can eat pizza made like that

Don't know why I loved it so much, but Antonio's in college station is high up on my list. Also am partial to Grimaldi's. Their italian sausage pizza with ricotta is amazing. I need to branch out and try more places in Houston.
