So we're just gonna ignore the monster season Zach Randolph is having....again?!

This has nothing to do with this thread which is still going strong over two years after it was created. If anyone is ignoring anything, it's the fact that the Grizzlies' new regime and John Hollinger tried to trade the beast known as Zach Randolph.

It's okay people that like to hate are the same ones that don't have the balls to make predictions themselves...on an anonymous internet message board. They're also the same individuals that refuse to give credit when you're right...classic definition of a hater. And I have been right way more than I've been wrong. It's documented. For example, last season at the very beginning of March, I correctly picked the winner of the Western Conference Finals, Eastern Conference Finals, and the NBA Finals. I even put my money where my mouth is and posted my betting slips.

I think the Grizzlies new regime knows what its doing. Trading away Rudy Gay turned out to be a fantastic move on their part. Some folks within the organization were probably concerned when the team did not respond well in the games immediately after that trade. Trade talk/rumors was inevitable in that scenario. Its good that they stuck with the team, though. The Grizzlies are looking really good right now.

But can ZBo win a dunk contest?

    j/k

Z Bo would be a tremendous fit for the Rockets. Wish we could nab him somehow without giving Harden up

I'd rather have Marc Gasol but ZBO would also be great for us

Congratulations to Zach Randolph for leading his team into the WCF with 28 pts, 14 rebs, 2 assists, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover in an elimination game.

    So clutch!

(jk, he carried the team when Conley and Gasol struggled tonight.)

I honestly can't see a frontline of Bogut / Landry nor Duncan / Blair / whoever, stopping Gasol and Randolph.

Bogut gives Duncan fits, and Allen / Conley is perfectly capable of defending Ginobili and Parker.

I predict Memphis in 6 or 7. I don't think the Spurs have an easy path to the Finals at all.

He's very articulate in his interviews... quite surprising to me.

Splitter is a pretty good defender, just don't want him touching the ball too much.

the last time they played (last month), Memphis won in Memphis by 2 and neither Duncan nor Ginobili played

I would rather have ZBO at the 4 if we are truly trying to win a championship. ZBO dominates everyone physically in the post during the playoffs.

Everyone doesn't play as hard as the rockets during the season this is the playoffs. Memphis wasn't even predicted to get pass the clippers in the first round by their season play.

Of course not, see Shane Battier (but then again he's whiter than most of us here). Just how the depicted him in the past as some thug made me think otherwise is alls. He 10x better than Shackille.

That's another reason this thread was created and is still relevant over 2 yrs later...to clear up misconceptions about Z-Bo being a thug, a cancer, fat, overpaid, a loser who wouldn't be able to contribute to a winning team, an empty statpadder, somebody who was just playing for a contract and would quit once he got his money. Well he's still going strong and has his team in the WCF. No defender wants to go against Zach Randolph in the post. The guy is a matchup nightmare.

Rockets needs someone like ZBO who can bang inside. It doesn't matter if he's not a stretch 4. If there's anything we learned throughout the years, playing it rough and tough is always the game during playoffs. Even Miami is so tough inside even without a dominant big man. That's why I miss our old Twin Towers. I hope we can get it back.

Who is more integral to that team - Zbo or Marc Gasol?

He is the closest player I have seen to Moses Malone, just a bit shorter.
