<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9z4mU7-0shs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> something about tmacs game... he has so many moves...like everything he does is based on instinct. who in the nba has that right now? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/phh8JQL1bB0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Hardens game looks so mechanical like just based on countless practices. He really only has 3 moves imo. drive step back long 2, 3 pointer, drive and create contact.... i dont think ive seen any turnaround fadeaways from him yet. thoughts?
Maybe we will get really lucky and the Spurs will consider trading us T-Mac for Harden. One can dream.
You want Harden to start shooting turn-around fade-aways like T-Mac? No thanks. That is the main thing about T-Mac's game that was so frustrating: taking difficult jump shots instead of driving to the basket. You may say that Harden's game isn't as 'pretty' as T-Mac, but at least he is aggressive. The last thing we need is another superstar flinging off-balance long 2-point shots at the basket. I liked T-Mac, but there is no question he fell in love with the jump shot late in his career.
The allure of inefficiency Kareem is IMO the greatest of all time. But even if you don't agree, he is clearly a top of all time player. For much of his career his offensive game consisted of one move. One highly efficient move. TMac was the more capable player. But that doesn't matter. Memo has the skill to be the second best player in the league. But I'd take I don't know, 20 other guys ahead of him in an all NBA draft. There is a reason TMac never led a team out of the first round despite hide or kia talent. And it's because in the final 5 minutes of those must win games he refused to drive, draw contact and/or take efficient shots.... Get down low and get that all important rebound... Draw a foul. I'm not saying Harden is great at all of those. He needs to work on all of those still. But his 2 moves lead to efficie t shots. Harden was a more efficie t scorer than Stephen Curry this year.
Thoughts? I'll take a player with 80% of the talent of T-Mac if he plays 80% of the season unlike T-Mac.
Well, Harden doesnt have the length of Tmac, we dont know what Harden can be though, still young, we lucky to have him, like VERY lucky.
Tmac can take a million jumpers and go 5/17 and have 11-12 points Harden can do what he does and go 5/17 and have 20/25 points because of the fouls he draws. and he's not anywhere close to primse.
When Harden does a 13 in 33 and a dunk that sucks the gravity right out of the building then i approve this message until then he won't be like T-Mac
We haven't seen HARDEN in his prime. We've already seen TMac's prime at 13 in 133. I sincerely thought he was older. Thank you for that tidbit of information, sir.
People hate Tmac but he was one of the top 10 maybe 20 most gifted players of all time. His downfall was his poor work ethic and chronic injury problems. Harden is a superstar and we haven't seen his prime yet but on talent alone lets not kid ourselves. Mcgrady's natural born talent is a tier maybe even 2 tiers above Harden. That's not to say Mcgrady is better than Harden. That depends on health, playoff success, and reputation. But talent you see right away and it's not even close. Mcgrady by miles.
You're going to get hate for this but it's clear Mcgrady's natual bb talents are vastly greater than Harden's.
Man, t-mac was silky smooth. Just watching that highlight, hard to think of another player that can ever do that, this guy was built for basketball. Too bad he threw it away. That Jazz series was peak. Playoffs he always turned it up a notch, not many do that.
I'm a huge T-mac fan but Harden will be great someday. In a few years, D wade and Kobe will be gone and Lebron will be aging and Harden will be in his prime.
