Under what circumstances would you be willing to trade Chandler Parsons?

Parsons, in my opinion, is the Rockets 2nd best player, behind Harden. Some could argue and say Asik is the 2nd best, but still, he is good. He has an all around game and still much room to improve. The great thing is his contract makes him a bargain.

With that said, I often read others here saying they would not want to trade Parsons in a packaged deal even if it meant getting another superstar like Dwight, Love, Aldridge, etc. I understand we don't need to give away anybody to get Dwight, but hypothetically speaking.

You have to realize that any team that Morey bargains with is going to want Parsons. If Morey is asking for an all star in return, you can guarantee that the other team wants Parsons as part of the deal.

Again, I know Parsons is a fan favorite and a heck of a player, but you got to trade him if it means getting another all star / power forward.

So, under what circumstances would you be willing to trade Chandler Parsons?

I honestly would rather keep CP than trade him unless we were getting Lebron or Durant to replace him.

We would have to get a star player. It would have to put us into contention or give us a huge advantage in star power where all we would need to do is fill in the holes to become a contender. Anything less, it is not worth it. CP is not getting traded any time soon anyways.

So these are the only 2 players you'd trade CP for? Seriously?

Chandler has really impressed me. Used to be on par with Lin, but has easily surpassed him by season's end. Is easily a top 10 SF now.

Would still trade him for any top 20 players though.

Based on production per dollar, he's off limits unless we were getting lebron melo Durant cp. the amount superstars get paid really makes you value dollars and production for non max players. In comparison I see parsons getting 7-8 easy and I know teams would easily overpay for him. So besides the players listed I say a top pick in the draft could be worth trading him.

Parsons is by far the best contract in the league... probably for the next two years. He represents a star player and potential All Star playing almost for free.

I would trade Parsons right now for:

    Straight up
    Lebron
    Durant
    Anthony
    Love
    Griffin

... off the top of my head. There are probably other SF, PF that could fit our needs.

honestly, I love CP...but the smartest thing may be to sell on him when his stock is at his highest, which is now.

We always fall in love with our players and their game...maybe it's just a byproduct of the way the Rockets play. But we could get over CP if we bring in a true headliner, a win-now type player, a la LMA, Kevin Love, or CP3 (hypothetically)

Honestly , I cant think of a better player at the SF spot than Lebron or Durant ... Yes , they are both significantly better than Parsons .... but who else out there can you say that about at the SF spot ?!

What SF other than Lebron has a more well rounded game than Parsons. There are guy's who do some things better than him , but only Lebron does "everything" as well or better. Take Melo for example , he's a better scorer but nowhere near the defender , passer or rebounder.

I don't think we have seen the best of the Mad Chicken yet .... Right now he does damn near everything "just below allstar level" and has room for improvement.

Some were saying he could put up 20ppg .... I said 16ppg and 6 .... he put up 15.5 & 5.3. Not allstar numbers by themselves but when you factor in all the other things he does to fill the stat sheet & some that don't .... he'd be really hard to replace / upgrade.

Rudy Gay puts up slightly better scoring 18.2 & rebounding 6.1 numbers but with lesser shooting percentage (overall.416 3pt.323) while Parsons shot (overall.486 3pt.385) and had .5 fewer turnovers per game. Parsons also had an assist advantage 3.5 vs 2.7 .... take away the difference in contracts - who would you rather have ? With the contract situation .... its a no brainer.

I don't know if its the homer glasses or what .... But I'd find it difficult to trade the guy. You aren't going to upgrade the position without getting a Lebron or Durant in return.

I wouldn't trade Parsons unless its for Lebron. Parsons is the Pippen to Harden's Jordan
