Listen Listen Listen NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SAY THEY DIDN'T IT WON'T MATTER. Because I responded to someone else. I didn't respond to you I responded to someone else, your whole argument is mute because you were not even in the conversation. You cant tell me what people said because you werent here. You are the one who should relax, you are responding to me! your crazy lol. How about you stay out of other peoples conversation that you know nothing about.
You are basically redefining BBS. This is what BBS for, if you are so scared to death that someone else might see your post and comment on it, try using PM instead of posting. Otherwise I'm entitled to freely post my thoughts about certain conversation.
Poor you. Here you are, offering purely 100% objective insights with no bias whatsoever, yet all the meanies are calling you a racist and a hater.
I find this guy funny. He has no problem posting his thoughts on other people's conversation. But, he freaks out if you do the same to him.
That's not entirely the case. It was more a tale of two halves than anything else. For the last 35 games of the season he really only had a few bad games and a few average ones. The rest were good and in many cases really good. As for the first half of the season I think his lack of performance can still be attributed to a lack of experience not just as an NBA starter but even more than that a lack of experience with the team which was brand new coming into the season.
Response Agree that he played pretty well during regular season. Just disappointed that he seemed to play even with less confidence during playoffs than regular season games.
I feel you there. I'm still going to give Lin another chance to show what he can do in the playoffs though. He was injured for a couple of the games and, let's be honest, Westbrook is ridiculously talented. I'm excited to see what an improved and more experienced Lin would be able to do. Hopefully a healthy one at that.
People are picking Bev over Lin. But they are assuming that everyone in the team will be in good health and free of injury. If, for example (knock on wood), Harden and Parsons got injured at the same time for a few weeks/months can you honestly tell me that Bev can run the offense efficiently? I don't think he's ready for that. Lin has already proven that he can...and that what separates him from Bev. I am not saying that Bev cannot be effective in the future but for now, he has not shown that he can do it without our offense being bogged down. And IMHO, Brooks has better court vision than Bev.
Yeah, he accused me of "stalking" him just because I was bothering to pay him enough attention to respond to what he wrote.
Many of the people who are ready the hand the reins of the league's best (or 2nd best) offense to Bev after ~5 games are probably the same people who refused to believe that Lin was NBA material after a 25-game sample. In other words, they're hypocrites who shouldn't be listened to.
I just watched the the Knicks game, Felton picked up his dribble inside the paint with nowhere to go and no one to pass to...if that was Jlin there will be posts and tweets about it non stop. Lol Many posters here think he's a scrub but they expect so much from him. It's weird.
I found this interesting article buy Synergy that says "Lin has the edge over Felton" you might be interested in. I think Synergy are an advanced analytics company connected to ESPN. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/22098/lin-has-the-edge-over-felton-at-pg
Jumpers off the dribble -- Lin is better with the ball in his hands. Last season, he shot 32.7 percent on catch-and-shoot jumpers, including 35.9 percent on unguarded catch-and-shoot jumpers. But he shot 47.9 percent on jumpers off the dribble. Of the 102 players who attempted at least 90 jumpers off the dribble, only Stephen Curry and Steve Nash shot a higher field-goal percentage than Lin (47.9). Felton ranked 85th of those 102 players, shooting just 32.7 percent. Hope the coach take note.
Well highlighted. I'm not sure what McHale thinks but Morey ball says the off-the-dribble mid-range jumper is one of the worst shots you can take. Better driving it all the way and kicking out to a corner spot-up shooter for 3. Another one of his strengths taken away under this system? But surely Morey has the analytics to tell him this was Lin's strength when he acquired him? Anyways, he should just practice his catch and shoot 3 pts to solidify his game first before going back to the mid-range jumper. If he develops the 3, he could be lethal if they allow him to take more than 10 shots.
Many great PGs prefer the one-step-in than the three anyways. SGs shoot threes. On top of my head I could think of Parker, Stockton, Mark Jackson, , Kidd, Kenny Anderson, Rondo(even the long 2 is weak), Brandon, AJ. Even elite SGs like MJ, VC, T-Mac, GHill (more of a 3), PP, Kobe shoots a lot of long 2s. It's ridiculous they have to turn Lin into a 3 point shooter. Fortunately he's able to improve his 3 pt percentage to around 40%. Of course he's not comfortable on the court, that's not an excuse. Sure, can we say silver-lining?
I give Lin 1 more year, but if the team keeps making the playoffs and winning, no reason to change personnel. My hope is that when Lin comes back this upcoming season is that he goes to the line more often which he did with the Knicks. I think Harden would love him to get more involved so that he don't have to carry such a heavy load. Lin needs to more determined and not afraid to fail. He can't worry about numbers, just make a difference. If he can't go back to the Knicks day of getting points on the FT line, it will be over for him. Remember patience is virtue.
Which is why he should be on another team. That is what I have been saying all along. He will not get those shots here in Houston. Houston needs a catch and shoot point guard unless that point guard is better than Harden and it will force Harden to catch and shoot more.
